I read it. It's useless. PBJ talks about the uselessness of history to tell us why history tells us that dooooooom is nigh!!!!!!
Useless. As usual.

There was a time when many of us were ready to rally around this man. Until it became painfully obvious that he is a loon. Father Coughlan without the collar. Charles Lindbergh without the plane.

Hes a central planning type...The ones in power today are 'central planning' types. They do, in fact, believe in centralized government. States rights are anethema to them.
The ones running (both the Democrats and the Republicrats) are with one exception Central Planners All (like the USSR.)

Heck yes I did! I just took out a subprime loan that I can’t pay back, too, and I’m on my way right now to see if I can get my boss to export some jobs! Everyone must do their part.

Charles Lindbergh without the plane. At the time Colonel Lindbergh sided with the America Firsters, who today could say he was wrong?
Categorizing him with Fr. Coughlan is an unfair assessment of a good man.

So, is he just pissed that he’s not one of the good-ol’ boys, then? ‘Cause his planning is a little more centralized then the others would have?

If “America Firster” means less economic liberty, then just how American is that?

Didn’t clinton remove fuel cost from the CPI during his administration?
To: LowCountryJoe
Actually, my comparison of PBJ to Lindbergh stems from their shared assessment of Adolf Hitler. Of the two, Lindbergh actually comes off as the less crazy, because he didn’t have nearly as much information concerning Hitler’s plans and ambitions.

I am concerned about the weak dollar. If OPEC demands payment in EURO’s all hell is going to break loose. This will cause the stock market to drop big time.

A tighter rein? We have been pumping up the money supply with wild abandon since 2000.

Someone posted an interesting analysis on a thread last week indicating that the real inflation rate in the U.S. for the last twelve months was something on the order of 18% not the 2% to 3% reported by the Federal government. According to Real Data M3 is at 18% and GDP is falling 2% for a total of 20% monetary inflation, which in my book is hyperinflation.
The only reason that the dollar has not totally collapsed is that other central banks are also hyperinflating.

Why?
Because the FDR cronies thought he was a traitor because he went to Germany to tour munitions plants?
Please, if you can tell me what was wrong with Colonel Lindbergh.

The thinking then, was the US was ripe for revolution or dictatorship...And it will be again unless Americans step up and smell the coffee, to mix metaphors.

Because the FDR cronies thought he was a traitor because he went to Germany to tour munitions plants? You have GOT to be kidding.... He didn't just "tour munitions plants."

I’ve noticed something funny. Most of the doom & gloom kooks have much more cash salted away than the credit card millionaires. Most of the doom & gloom kooks have the title to their homes secure in their own hands while the credit card millionaires don’t ever expect to own their homes. Funny, isn’t it?
