Oh yeah. Stupid rules but if the rest must obey them, the elite should too.

It’s a sham of an outrage!!
In fact, it’s an outrageous, sham of an atrocity, as well as an affront of an abuse of power.

The Dysart School District’s Governing Board welcomes the public, including all school staff, parents, and community members, to its meetings.
Regular meetings are held on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the governing board room of the Dysart Education Center, 15802 North Parkview Place in Surprise. Study sessions are also held as needed for the purpose of studying one or more specific issues in depth. No action is taken during a study session. Occasionally, a special meeting is held to handle specific Board business. Executive sessions are also scheduled periodically for discussion of confidential matters, which include personnel, legal matters, and “meet and confer” items. An executive session is closed to the public, but official action on executive session items is taken during regular Board meetings.
The meeting agenda will be available within 24 hours prior to scheduled day/time.

When I was in high school we took our shotguns, along with live shells, to school and left them in the car when we were going hunting after school. The school personnel didn't snoop in cars and if they did they wouldn't have said anything.
If I went to the school in this article I'll guarantee that I'd have some shotgun shell boxes visible in my car. Maybe empty but who would know. I'd probably manage to pack a small lunch in one. Could be fun.

Too bad she wasn’t a terrorist. They’d have waved her thru.

Arbitrary and capricious rulebook alert. I saw a school official being interviewed on FoxNews. She was spinning that it was just fine to have an elastic, or living, definition of a “dangerous instrument”, and they stood by the citation of the student. This is disqualifying sophistry for a person who holds such a position, for it invites situations just like this. I hope the student has a good Due Process case.

I know I posted this in extended news twice.
I know it got pulled once.
But, it no longer resides in the extended news sidebar.
Crying foul.
I will ping everybody to it.

she fears the punishment will cloud her permanent record as she applies to colleges. Or find a school with a skeet team and use title IX to get a scholarship.

Walmart leaves shotgun shells out on the shelves - doesn’t sound like they consider them too dangerous.

What, exactly, makes shotgun shells dangerous without a shotgun? Was she going to build a fire and toss them in??
