The current issue of
Rolling Stone says Dennis Prager, tells us two things about the Left: its vulgarity and refusal to intelligently address the issues of our time. You could say the Left is disconnected entirely from reality. The fantasy world which it inhabits is well conveyed in the content of
Rolling Stone.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus

All explanations of the American Left reduce to two words: greed & cowardice.

They could all park their PRIVATE JETS, sell a couple of their MANY HOMES and ‘save the planet’ all on their own! And they claim ‘we’ are the selfish ones?!

Rolling Stone Magazine supports Albert Gore Junior, a man who lead music censorship efforts so that he could attain the national stage in time for a failed 1988 presidential bid.
He didn’t actually CARE about the issue and has certainly abandoned it in subsequent decades. But he ruined the lives of clerks who got busted by vice squads for selling “naughty” records as directed by their managers.
Throw anyone under the bus for political advancement.
And Rolling Stoned magazine stands by their man. It is the same people at the helm that created the magazine 40 years ago. They aren’t “revolutionaries”. And they know even less about politics than they know about contemporary music.

"All explanations of the American Left reduce to two words: greed & cowardice."While not two "words," my summation would be two traits; nihilism and totalitarian impulse.

Cornel West: "Black folk in America have never been optimistic about the future -- what have we had to be optimistic about?" James Brown would smack that man in the mouth. He hasn't EARNED the right to bitch about his life. "I don't want nobody to give me nothing, open up the door, I'll get it myself".
No to them, James Brown is just an old dude who made some records that can be ripped off to steal a beat for a new "hit" that sounds remarkably like an old hit song.

Cornel West: "Black folk in America have never been optimistic about the future -- what have we had to be optimistic about?"
LOL!! Cornel West, a fraudulent mediocrity who has been feted with ridiculous salaries and acclaim at Harvard and Princeton, solely for his politically correct rantings against the establishment, is about the last person on earth who should complain about anything. Seldom has anyone with less talent and competence made a grander career out of fraudulent behavior. This so-called "philosopher" has never written a significant book, or any academic work comparable to what is required of any WHITE MALE to attain such positions. Leftist affirmative action baby all the way.... Then, when he finally was challenged on it by Larry Summers, he managed to set in motion the events that enabled the campus PC fascists to remove Summers from office..... AND Cornel West ended up with a fancy new position at Princeton in the bargain. No, Mr. West, you of all people have NOTHING to complain about in the hand dealt you by "society"....

Princeton Professor Cornel West: " . . . a morally insensitive period from Reagan to the second Bush, when it was fashionable to be indifferent to the suffering of the most vulnerable." Sounds like he's damning the Clinton-Clinton-Gore years too but won't stand up and mention them by name.

Jane Goodall: "We seem to have lost the wisdom of the indigenous people, which dictated that in any major decision, the first consideration was, 'How will this decision we make today affect our people in the future?'" A woman who's found her intellectual equal among the monkeys.

You've almost got it, but there's a 3rd word you left out: DEPRAVITY!!
Now if we can say the left is explained by three words: greed, cowardice, and depravity..... then I will agree 100%.

If you want to see foul language, go visit D.U. if you dare. They cannot express anything without the vilest cursing
I never heard my parents utter one single curse word in my life. They told me that cursing was a sign of ignorance. People who didn’t know how to use the English language tried to compensate with curse words.

The seven deadly sins are: Pride, Envy, Anger, Avarice, Sadness, Gluttony, and Lust.
I think they're somewhat outdated. Arrogance, Deceit, & Control (Power Hunger) should replace, say Pride, Sadness, and Gluttony.
Cowardice could replace Anger.

It is the same people at the helm that created the magazine 40 years ago. They arent revolutionaries. And they know even less about politics than they know about contemporary music. Exactly. Since 2003 we have been beset by old hippies attempting to recapture their "activist" youth -- using Iraq as Vietnam, which it hardly resembles at all. We won the Iraq war in a week or less; the rest has been a reconstruction along the lines of Germany and Japan after WWII. But the media has played along, downplaying the completely anachronistic idiocy these long-hair gray-hairs spout, in the interest of making it seem as if the hippies have finally "won."

Bad language doesn’t bother me, but what does bother me is the manufactured outrage over Cheney privately telling leahy to go F himself. Every time alan colmes brings this up in his usual hysteria (about every other show), I want to show him about a million examples of the foul public speech of his fellow-travellers.
