I don't know if the Muslims realize this or not, but they have a PR disaster of their own making. Not Savage's making, but their own. He's just saying what a lot of us are thinking, and they need to keep that in mind before they attack the rightly-intense criticism of them and their religion as "hatred" and "bigotry". If they wish to live in a country of the Western (Judaeo-Christian) tradition and under secular law, they're welcome. CAIR and its ilk haven't proven to me that that's what they intend.

Wasn't it the founder of CAIR who said that Islam was not in America to be "equal" to any other faith and that the Koran should be the whole of the law in America?

Actually, Omar M. Ahmad, Chairman Emeritus of the Board of CAIR, said the following at the Islamic Conference in Freemont, California, in July of 1998, "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

I agree. I’m not particularly fond of Savage; I’ll listen from time to time but wont go out of my way. However, having said that, I STRONGLY disagree with any attempts to muzzle him. Or anyone else.

As for CAIR, I believe we should boycott them for being stridently anti-Semitic. Because Savage is son of Jewish-Russian immigrants, their attack on him is clearly an example of their anti-Semitic bias. Shame on them.

The main difference between the Koran and the New Testament is this:

The Bible has “Give to Ceasar what is Ceasar’s.” It also has Paul’s letter to the Romans where he says that believers should bow to secular authorities in their rule on earth. Thus, Christianity as a faith laid a foundation for the Rule of Law.

No equivalent verses exist in the Koran. Where the Koran is considered the highest secular authority, there is no Rule of Law.
