It may be because of all the ads he’s buying here. Mitt and Rudy. The only ads I ever hear.
Folks might be tired of them by election day.

“Of the four major Republican candidates for president, there is only one in favor of the federal amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman,” Romney tells the gathering. “And that is me.”
-
well rudy did say he would be for it if a significant number of states went for gay marriage

I support Mitt because he is successful in both business AND family life.
I think Fred is too passive and his crusade for conservative principles will be impotent. He simply will not go and fight against liberals on the offensive. He plays into the liberals hand. Talk and lot but won’t do anything. That’s why liberals will see Fred as the safe Republican.

I think Fred is too passive ... He plays into the liberals hand. Wake up. Romney not only installed HillaryCARE (which she was unable to do)
but he also installed gay marriage when Mass law would have prevented it. He is the ULTIMATE RINO.

I believe when Fred starts spending his money here the polls will change dramatically.

Romney not only installed HillaryCARE (which she was unable to do) CommonWealth care is nowhere close to HillaryCARE. It was, in fact, supported by and held up as a model of a good, conservative health care solution by the premiere, conservative Heritage Foundation. I'm sorry if you can't tell the obvious differences between a liberal and a conservative solution.
but he also installed gay marriage when Mass law would have prevented it.
Not true. In fact, he fought against gay marriage in Massachusetts, used a little-used law to keep it from being used to marry anyone from out of state, filed suit with the MA Supreme Court to block implementation of their gay marriage ruling, was a key supporter of the MA constitutional amendment to define traditional marriage as between a man and a woman, testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee in favor of the Federal Marriage Amendment, and is the only one of the leading GOP candidates who supports the Federal Marriage Amendment.

I could see myself strongly supporting Romney, but I figure I may as well vote for Hunter or Thompson in the primary. Who knows? They just may win.

Romney would disappear with a running of the adds with the clips of him dissing Reagan, pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc.
It would take a week and he’d never recover.
To: Spiff
Yeah, right.
More pablum dribble.

To: Spiff
Oh, yeah...spin it, spiffer... It was, in fact, supported by and held up as a model of a good, conservative health care solution by the premiere, conservative Heritage Foundation.
The main supporter and cheerleader of Romney's health plan has been, interestingly, the Heritage Foundation. However, there would appear to be just a bit of a conflict of interest in that. According to news reports, Romney's charitable foundation recently donated $25,000 to the Heritage Foundation. And Heritage Foundation helped Romney research and write his health plan. - Boston Globe, 8/17//2006
Not true. In fact, he fought against gay marriage in Massachusetts, used a little-used law to keep it from being used to marry anyone from out of state
One of the few conservative publications to expose Romney's liberalism is the conservative weekly Human Events which (in a 2005 article) listed Romney at number eight on its list of "Top Ten Republicans in Name Only (RINOs)."
Indeed, this report will demonstrate that Romney was probably the most pro-abortion and pro-gay rights Republican official in the nation for the last decade. The idea that he has suddenly become a conservative after a decade of liberal actions and statements would be merely amusing were it not for the fact that he's running for the presidency and that many conservatives are falling for this act. Top 10 RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) Human Events 12/27/05 - (Mitt Romney is ranked #8)

No worries. Couple more months of the Suit and he’ll fall to the wayside like the rest. If only that he won’t be able to afford it.
