No. One was a posting at TheAtlantic.com saying that the Romney campaign was going to announce this endorsement. The other was the actual press release. The story at TheAtlantic includes information about the newly appointed ambassador to the Vatican being a top advisor to the Romney campaign. The Press Release doesn't cover that aspect, of course. I'm sorry that you can't tell the difference between a news article and a press release.

Wow! Here’s an similarly important endorsement for Fred: Mystery Novelist Digger Cartwright Endorses Fred Thompson for President..in 2008 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1891143/posts

I looked it up at Wikipedia, and found this:

Name Years served Pope U.S. President
William Wilson 1981 - 1986 John Paul II Ronald Reagan
Frank Shakespeare 1986 - 1989 Ronald Reagan
Thomas Patrick Melady 1989 - 1993 George H. W. Bush
Raymond Flynn 1993 - 1997 Bill Clinton
Corinne Claiborne Boggs 1997 - 2001 Bill Clinton
James Nicholson 2001 - 2005 George W. Bush
Francis Rooney 2005 - present Benedict XVI George W. Bush

Raymond Flynn is the only one of the bunch I know anything about. He’s a Mass. Democrat politician, but also a good Catholic. That one was a good appointment, and I think clinton came to regret it. The others are pretty much background noise as far as I know, although Reagan had a close rapport with the Pope as they worked to overthrow the Soviet Union.

I know. It makes me so mad. They are always trying to push these Rino candidates on us.

Oh I can indeed tell the difference. Same information from two different sources, posted within minutes of one another....

Hillarious. Desparate, yet hillarious.

Another fake Conservative the Precious campaign bought.

Exactly right. If anyone thinks Mitt is conservative, they are wrong. Mitt is just another in a series of RINO statists. He will make GWB's social spending seem "conservative." Mitt and Rudy are trying to win the Presidency to gratify their own egos. Mitt has no deep understanding of Federalism or limited government. Mitt or Rudy give lip service to our Constitution. Fred seems to revere our Founders and the Constitution.

The media wants the likes of Rudy, Precious Willard, Huckster, Prawn, or McNut nominated, because they will be exceedingly easy to destroy for the general election against Hillary. They’re terrified of Fred.

The Mitt Romney Legacy 2006: Deval Patrick. He ain't stopped thanking Romney since last November. The legacy in 2012 will be Barack Hussein Obama. You'd better believe it.

>>>Same information from two different sources, posted within minutes of one another....<<<

No, it clearly wasn’t the same information. Not even close. Or perhaps you can point out the bountiful background information about the Vatican’s ambassador detailed in the link you just posted.

I dare ask who is appearing desparate here.

Fair enough. Equating a representative of the Vatican with a mystery novel writer, I see?

Well, we all have different priorities in life...

Why does the United States of America have an ambassador at a church headquarters? Do we have an ambassador to the Southern Baptist Convention? To the LDS in Salt Lake City? The RLDS in Independence, Missouri? To the Lutherans? The Buddhists? The coming Islamic Caliphate? Of course not!!
