Not that I expect your account to last long enough to read this, but perhaps your plan to win converts by calling your audience cowards, turncoats, weak, greedy, blind, and foolish, isn’t such a great strategy after all?

This sounds like a liberal hit piece on Christians. I personally prefer Hunter, but the last Christian I mentioned him to had never heard of Hunter. Can’t blame the buyer for not buying a product they’ve never heard of.

Do trolls or retreads' 1st vanity post use excellent grammar and paragraph breaks like the poster did?

Excellent grammar? In what language?

I, too, think Duncan Hunter is the best man for the job.

He may well be, but IMHO he has a lot to prove. I find it difficult to have confidence in a candidate with money troubles and an apparent inability to lead well enough to attract a substantial backing. IMHO, if he were half the leader his supporters claim, he wouldn't be facing either struggle. Whenever someone shows me a "perfect" candidate, but he's languishing in the bottom of the pack, I have to wonder why.

Actually he said that he does not want to see Conservatism redefined to fit a candidate who leans more to the left, as Rudy does. I believe he is insinuating that if Rudy gets the nominee, the Republican Party will be more left than it has ever been. In Rush’s eyes, that would be bad, very bad.

Agreed. A key in assessing leadership potential is simply counting how many people you’ve convinced to let you lead them. Thompson seems to be doing ok in that regard, Hunter not so much.

Yeah, but did you sign up and start telling people how stupid, blind and cowardly they were?

Nah, my first post was a reply to another FReeper.

I really really enjoy these rants:
(RP) supporter - vote for him or you are a rhino, idiot
(DH) supporter - vote for him or you are a rhino, idiot
(MR) supporter - vote for him or you are a rhino, idiot
(RG) supporter - vote for him you are an idiot
you get the idea

If the media were as smart as they think they are, they would be building up Duncan now, to force the other candidates to spend their multi-millions to over shadow him with their purchased TV time. He is perhaps the best man for the job of leading us during the next eight years when the security of our borders and the issue of halting an invasion threatening to destroy our culture (sick though it may be). Duncan Hunter understands the absolute necessity for our military to be the best by far and to be capable of getting the job done anywhere in the world. Duncan Hunter understands and is not afraid to confront the insidious waltz we have going with the Communist Chinese! I, for one, would be thrilled if a Thompson-Hunter ticket were the choice in ‘08, and I would very much like to see the leadership come from both President and Vice-President, with Duncan Hunter in charge of border security, the fence, and import issues. But then I’m a dreamer, so there it is.

I don’t particularly care for your characterization of Christians as “cowards” just because they may not select your chosen candidate. Your choice of words seems churlish.

You’ll here a lot of nay sayers on this forum claiming he has no chance. But when you look at the results of this FReeper poll -
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/poll?poll=197;results=1

The results among both members and non members is very interesting.

And you should really respond to those who are posting to you. Posting a vanity on your first day and not posting any comments, even on your own thread, looks mighty suspicious.

Welcome to FR, God bless you and GO HUNTER 08!

"I, too, think Duncan Hunter is the best man for the job."

Al Gore won the popular vote.
Bill Clinton was elected twice.
What makes you think the American people WANT the "best man for the job"?

If Lucifer himself appeared on the scene and promised everyone an HDTV and a hot car,
the American people would elect him KING.

Hunter has served 26 years in Congress.

That's the problem with Mr. Hunter's campaign notion in the first place.

It's abysmal that +/- 97% recognize this as a disqualifier but the other +/- 3% don't.

There is one question with two answers. It is:

A) Is this candidate volunteering to, of his own choice, to be president, and campaigning with intention to attain that office?

B) Is this candidate, having been forced against his wishes and every single argument against it the he can summon, with unlimited help and support, and by a force majeure working on him over a period of time using his natural patriotism, with him unwilling to serve, but by force of pressure thereby to serve ONE term, with a oath BEFORE GOD, to leave office afterward, no matter what, on the ballot?

If the answer not B, then reject him without even a second thought, and any of his family, remote relations or friends from public office forever with no appeal or extenuating circumstance under any circumstances whatsoever.

Well , you had it together enuff to post a rant/vanity as your first post. Jump on in and defend it. Most of us would like Hunter as the nominee, but no traction so far, hasn’t really distinguished himself from the pack. My guy id Tancredo, but I am realistic about how slim his chances are.

I found "The Three Princes of Serendip" here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Three_Princes_of_Serendip

But "Sara Lanka" must be a relative of Paul Anka.
