His ideology isn’t much different from most right wing R politicians. The difference is his energy (high) and his intelligence (off the charts). He may well be the smartest governor in the country. Combine that with his ideology and you have the next Prez.
When you run as a conservative, you get re-elected. Santorum strayed and did not get re-elected, primarily because he went out of the way to help Specter (spit) get re-elected rather than helping Toomey replace Specter.
It seems so easy to run as a conservative, I am surprised all 100 Senators aren’t conservative Republicans.
And you left out a former Mr. Elizabeth Taylor as well!

I share your POV. Jindal has everything an ideal public representative must have in any country of the world. Excellent education, real experience, intelligence, dynamism and willingness to work hard for the sake of others. He even looks almost too good to be true. Who knows he could even end up implementing all his ethics reform policies and get rid of Louisiana’s corrupt state.
I guess the chink in his armor is his belief in creationism. Well, even if he believes in it, he has no right to impose it on everyone and most importantly masquerade religious beliefs as scientific principles. I hope he changes just that one point and acts in broader interest of humanity than nursing a parochial view, all his other views on abortion, gun control, ethics reform are all good.
Oh? As if they haven't been doing it with all the New Age,and "all the people are the same" diversity, tolerance rubbish!
why did God deliberately create rats and cockroaches? I guess He was bored one day.
These days, it appears from all the squawking that merely discussing the possibility constitutes "imposing" something or other.
I hope he changes just that one point and acts in broader interest of humanity than nursing a parochial view, all his other views on abortion, gun control, ethics reform are all good.
All those things you like may haply be philosophically grounded in that view you call "parochial". For my part, I am inclined to inquire what exactly is "parochial" about it. Namecalling is a smear tactic, not a foundation for a logical argument.
If you want to discuss creationism, do it in your own homes. Also teach your kids that Dinosaurs were invented by Satan and satanic cult worshipping anthropologists, or that the entire planet’s humanity descended from the incestuous relationship between Adam and Eve and their children.. also teach them that Gravity and electromagnetism are just theories that will just go away once you stop believing in them.
Turning classrooms into seminaries should not be the ultimate aim of any public educational establishment. We have been seeing poor muslim parents in India and Afghanistan, who still think that the entire source of world’s knowledge is derived exclusively from the Quran. Christians should not emulate them.
And that is an example of "straw man". Strike two.
