Note that they left out the part where Thompson dealt a blow to the illegal corruption of the Democrat’s power in Nashville. Ray Blanton from McNairy County was the Governor and there was more than enough corruption to go around. The reason Democrats were being replaced by Republicans while Fred was young is because the Democrats were corrupt and were going to prison...many of them...

Fred Thompson was never there. I was there last Wednesday and it was business as usual. More lefty lies. :^)

Paul was delivering babies while Fred was going after backyard hicks.
Nice that every Fred thread has to have the obligatory cheap-shot at Dr. Paul.

Actually I posted that from my satellite link, so it wasn’t really that cheap...

(265 pound Lemming with attitude for Thompson!)

Thompson's saving grace in court was his calm demeanor ... and his sense of humor. During a particularly tense trial, as one law enforcement witness tore seals on three successive envelopes before he could get to the evidence within, Thompson quipped, "Is there really anything in there at all?"I love it!

Fred Thompson takes on the Corrupt Democratic Establishment in Tennesse and wins.
Ethical trouble in the fast-and-loose Blanton administration began early but was downplayed by the local media. But by 1977, Marie Ragghianti, chairman of the state's Board of Pardons and Paroles, was getting worried. She finally refused to release some felons who were later proved to have bought their freedom by bribing Blanton aides. Mr. Blanton summarily fired her and then set his media friends upon her, smearing her reputation.
Ms. Ragghianti eventually hired Fred Thompson, the Republican counsel for the Senate's Watergate committee, as her lawyer to file a suit challenging her dismissal. In July 1978, a jury found that Mr. Blanton had fired her "arbitrarily and capriciously," ordered her reinstatement and awarded her $38,000 in back pay. ""
This is the story that the MSM wants everyone to forget. Fred busted this Clinton Clone's chops.

Many of the people involved with the Ray Blanton bust and administration were acquaintances of mine. Thompson did very well and was a significant part of the investigation and the prosecution of the criminal Democrats...
