McCain or Paul will win.
Most of the "freaks" supporting Paul are folks pissed at the current corrupted political system. These are the "sheeple", remember? So now they're "freaks" just because they're not supporting one of the USDA approved candidates. Nice.
It is clear that Romney has had the most organized and consistent campaign
All of that means nothing without a strong message that reasonates with everyone. Nobody is interested in 8-point Powerpoint presentations. People want real answers to real problems, and so far Romney is not addressing them, and if he is he's just proposing the same-old GOP socialism-light that Republicans have already proposed.
Well, if most of the ron paul “freaks” we see annoying every corner of the internet can’t go one sentence without mentioning an “inside job” a “zionist conspiracy” or a “new world order” then I doubt they have been faithful republicans/conservatives at any point in time.
And given that Ron Paul is an internet phenom, it’s easy to suggest that perhaps most of the “freaks” supporting him arn’t the “SHEEPLE” but the ones who coined the word. Alex Jones et al.
Oh please, these folks are not representative of Paul's support as a whole.
It’s a republican primary...
I was going to just put “liberals and truthers,” but I was nice about it.
Sure, Ron Paul may get some of the disaffected (truthers, hardcore libertarians, etc) vote (they are his base after all), but do we really want their vote at the expense of the WOT and to the detriment of losing a a huge chunk of the strong defense vote to hillary? These are the security moms rove was talking about, people who don’t want a president who would get rid of virtually all our vital defenses against terrorism. Seriously, Ron Paul learned absolutely nothing from 9/11, and given that a big part of his support comes from the truther crowd, you can see how bonkers and outdated his views really are.
Ron Paul supporters suffer from delusions of grandeur.
“Theres nobody in this world that could possibly attack us today. I mean, we could defend this country with a few good submarines”

Seriously, where was Ron Paul on 9/11? Hanging out on Saturn with his truther friends?
“Most of the “freaks” supporting Paul are folks pissed at the current corrupted political system.”
Sure. Folks like conspiracy nut Alex Jones.

The crossover “freaks” I refer to are a very specific group - the moveon.org-type anti-Iraq-war agitators and 9/11 ‘truthers’ who latched on to Ron Paul’s campaign because he wants to give Iraq and the GWOT the heave-ho. They are like remoras on a shark who are coasting on his campaign to get visibility for their kooky agenda. Case in point:

These folks are not Republicans. They are not even libertarians. Heck, they are not even mentally balanced.
We do not need these kooks telling us who the right GOP nominee is.
“Oh please, these folks are not representative of Paul’s support as a whole.”
We wont know that until votes are cast who his base is exactly. We know that some of Ron Paul’s support comes from libertarian-leaning republicans. But we also know that some of the most vocal agitators on Ron Paul’s behalf - who have practically hijacked his campaign on the internet and at some events - are people with conspiracy-oriented agenda not a conservative one. If you can’t see that then you are pulling the wool over your own eyes.
The crossover freaks I refer to are a very specific group - the moveon.org-type anti-Iraq-war agitators and 9/11 truthers who latched on to Ron Pauls campaign because he wants to give Iraq and the GWOT the heave-ho.
These folks represent a miniscule fraction of 1% of Paul's actual support. The only reason why they're in the news is because the liberal media and GOP establishment wants to highlight them to marginalize Paul's candidacy.
You might think these people are "freaks", but in reality they're people who have been totally turned off by politics until Paul entered the race. Would you rather have them supporting the GOP nominee or voting their usual 3rd party and then you guys will complain about "those losertarians" who costed the Republican the election again. Only Paul and Thompson have the capability to attract these votes without losing the conservative base. Romney does not.
Ron Paul doesn’t need help from the media to marginalize his campaign. Anyone that has used the internet for longer than 5 minutes has more than likely ran into one his wacko supporters.
When you find yourself as the official candidate of the twoofers, you know there’s something wrong here....
Having Paul as the Republican candidate would be a complete disaster...I’m starting to think the Paulites are repeating this “only he can beat hillary” crap as a ruse to completely destroy the Republican party for being strong on the WOT.
“Now of course, Paul should donate the money to charity or return it and denounce these groups.”
But he’s not going to. Don’t you get it?
Ron Paul needs the truthers, they have said themselves that the truther “movement” started his internet popularity. He doesn’t repudiate them, he embraces them. He’s gone on Alex Jones kookshow several times in the past couple months.
Also, doesn’t stromfront have a 1000 page thread dedicated to getting Ron Paul elected?
I mean, when you find yourself as the offical candidate of the twoofers and stormfront, you might think to yourself that maybe, just maybe, there’s something wrong.
“Hes gone on Alex Jones kookshow several times in the past couple months.”
This is true and even honest Ron Paul supporters question it.
http://www.thelibertypapers.org/2007/07/13/ron-paul-and-the-911-truthers/
I think small Government conservatives who are unhappy with the ‘top tier’ should look towards Tancredo or Hunter for a kook-free right-wing candidate. JMHO.
ACtually the link was to show that Alex Jones, uber-conspiracy theorist, contributed to the Ron Paul campaign. You really dont know what percent of Paul’s support has come from him showing up on Alex Jones’ show, etc.
“You might think these people are “freaks”, but in reality they’re people who have been totally turned off by politics until Paul entered the race.”
Anyone who thinks 911 was an inside job is a kook, a freak, and I could think of worse names besides for those who slander the American Govt and NYC emergency response workers, and our military with their ugly defamation.
As for the non-conspiracy leftwing anti-Iraq-war types who show up rallying for Ron Paul or praising him, I wouldn’t call them kooks, but they are neither conservative nor Republican - just wrong - and have no useful place influencing our GOP nomination.
