When the government figures out how to punish this traitor, the Senate should do the same to punish John Fibbing Kerry who also made such exageration in a time of war (Vietnam). He has since said that he doesn’t stand by the talk of war crimes and calls them the words of an angry young (lying) man.

Probably he wanted to be the “Across the River and Into the Trees” version of Hemingway.
Even at his best, Hemingway is pretty appalling. If that’s his chosen model and standard of excellence, I’m not surprised how it turned out.

So, to recap the story so far:
Another ‘phony soldier’ brings up another slander against our military in Iraq.
Yet instead of going after this egregious example of journalistic slander, the Congressional Democrats went after Rush Limbaugh for his “phony soldiers” remark. A remark that is right on-target for this case and the case of Jesse MacBeth, another anti-war lying phony soldier.
Rush turned an assault by Senate Democrats on his First Amendment free speech rights into a PR coup by taking the offensive letter the Senators wrote, auctioning on EBay for a multi-million dollar sum, and donating the entire proceeds to a good cause - scholarships for the children of fallen Marines.
Meanwhile, the tide is turning and we are winning the war the Democrats said was unwinnable, and going good in a country that we were told we were only capable of doing evil.
The World Is Upside Down.

Drudge didn’t mention that Beauchamp’s new wife happened to work for TNR and was assigned as the fact checker for his story.

Yeah, just shutting up
works if your girl friend's wimpy
and finds you cheated.
I'm not sure it works
if you lie to the whole world
concerning war crimes!

They’re just in a data-gathering stage before they publish the massive apology article in their very next edition. That’d be the one written by the Tooth Fairy with pictures by the Easter Bunny.

This soldier served and lied. Jesse Macbeth and other outspoken protesters (dating back to the Vietnam War) NEVER SERVED.
Scott and Jesse both committed treason by lying about attrocities so that they could provide aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of war. They sought to sink morale at home and among the troops and to rile up the enemy with “justification” for the terrorist acts that the “insurgents” are committing.
