Perry is a jerk. Sorry we re-elected him. Won’t happen again!

See post #11. It's a pro-Roe position.

Absolutely. But it's just enough to peel off a lot of soft pro-life evangelicals. And that is Rudi's objective. By doing so, he forestalls the third-party thing, isolates Dobson and his influence, and has a good chance of picking up at least half of all of us who are swearing we'll never vote for him even in the general.

Don't underestimate him. He's a calm cool calculator, an expert at divide and conquer. And he has an expert campaign team, and much like Bush in 2000, he is relentlessly disciplined and commits very few actual errors. You'll notice that Hitlery is visibly copying Bush's 2000 campaign too. That's because it works.

Anyone who thinks Rudi can't possibly get the nomination is fooling themselves. We've got to have one or more major candidates come out swinging against him. It wouldn't hurt to have a new scandal or two. Especially something that would spike his numbers in Florida.

If we're going to stop him, we have to do it in Florida or before Florida.

Last night, Rudy did a good job blasting the real socialists, the real immoralists, the real abortionists, the real anti-Americans on national security. It is too bad that the Pharisees in the Party will not understand that he is not a saint only a guy who might actually defeat Hildabeast and keep our free enterprise system upright, our national security strong. If Mitt, Fred or Mike can do the same thing NATIONALLY, fine with me. So far the voters in polls say NO they do not, cannot. Still, almost all the front runners last night gave answers that were intellectually, morally concise . Things that the Demsocialists will never do. You bet electability is a part of this. Oh, and Ronald Reagan unfortunately is dead and will not be back in any of our choices. One thing I did see is that Mike the Huck should be the VP candidate for the winner, no matter who he is. Mike is the real deal if a bit weak on national security and taxes. And Duncan Hunter should be our Sec. of State or Defense if the GOP wins.

OMG! I would never vote for the best mayor of America’s largest city during America’s biggest crisis because he looks good in a dress and isn’t a homophobic bigot and supports strict constuctionist judges for the bench and would continue the WOT. Thanks for the info.

3. Has Giuliani said that a “strict constructionist” reading of the Constitution would end abortion?

Why would anybody make such an idiotic statement? Obviously, all the Supreme Court can do is overturn Roe.

James Dobson, founder of "Focus on the Family" and a classic conservazilla who is dissatisfied with everyone except himself, recently opined in The New York Times about the possibility of a third-party candidate.

LMAO!

So, where does that leave Jack Lemmon, then? Seriously, I’ve had enough of being beaten over the head with one charity vaudeville act. I mean, really.

You people attacking RG are no better than Hillary’s machine. So what he supported the State’s Right’S to legislate abortion(How many abortions will he force YOU to have?) and wore a dress in a vaudville skit? Conservatives like you will lose the battle and the war.

And (he said patiently) has he said it would do that?

Which one are you talking about (he replied patiently)? "Overturn Roe" OR "end abortion"?

Okay, I’ll take a wild guess at what you are asking and hopefully answer your question: Rudy has said that he will appoint “strict constructionists in the mold of Alito and Roberts”, and that would certainly be helpful to the immediate goal of the Supreme Court overturning Roe. I do not know if Rudy has said that the Supreme Court would overturn Roe, but that does seem very possible. But you said something about the Supreme Court “ending abortion”. I don’t think anybody (including Rudy) is stupid enough to expect that the Supreme Court could do THAT even if it wanted to.

“Perry’s endorsement brings incredible conservative street cred to the Giuliani campaign nearly 90 days before the first primary vote is cast.”

Ha ha ha ha. Wait, the same Rick Perry that Texas Republicans say is no better than a Democrat? THAT Rick Perry?

hi ffusco,

I’m afraid I wasn’t very clear in my message and I apologize for that. I was only saying that I think it’s ridiculous to keep trotting out a photo from a charity vaudeville skit as so-called proof of anything but participation in a traditional NYC charity.

I brought up Jack Lemmon because he dressed in drag in “Some Like It Hot.” Only a comparison to show how far down on the significance scale that is.

Primary season is upon us, and we should all fight like hell for the candidate of our choice (who will not be Ron Paul), and I will. But once the general election comes around - I *will* vote for the (R) candidate running against Hillary. I will not be a party to her coronation.

So, don’t worry. I will not be part of losing the battle and the war. I remember Clinton I far too well, and have no desired to see the White House Clinton-formed again.
