I hereby decree Ben Stein to be Officially Written Off.
It’s one thing to write a check to your old comedy-showbiz friend EVEN THOUGH he’s 170 degrees off to your left. “I’ll help you a little here, but you know we disagree on policy, old buddy.”
It’s quite another to abandon your principles like this.
Goodbye, Ben Stein. It was fun while you were conservative.

Tossing 2k to a longtime friend is one thing, but I wonder who BS would vote for in 2008 if he lived in Minnesota?

I have no problem with Stein donating to a friend’s campaign for the Senate, the test is, would Al Franken donate to a “Ben Stein for Senate” campaign. I doubt it.
To: Deek1969
Well look at that. Ben Stein jumped the shark.

I have never liked Ben Stein going back to the early '90's when the worst thing that The American Spectator printed was his rambling, unfunny, wordy columns about nothing. Lately, he has really flipped out if you listen to him when he appears on some of Fox's money programs. He sounds like a typical Hillary liberal...we need to pay higher taxes, we aren't taxed enough, etc. It doesn't surprise me at all that he would think Franken is the best thing since sliced bread since I regard the two of them as two peas in a pod - unfunny, bloviating, looney liberals, who enjoy the sound of their own voices while having nothing of value to say.
Ben Stein - Gag me with a fork!

What an idiot. Doesn’t surprise me, Ben Stein always struck me as untrustworthy and smarmy.

Ben, what the hell are you thinking? This clown says Bush is an American Hitler.
