I was waiting and waiting to find out how the authorities infected the kid with Mad Cow Disease.
I remember when I first asked the question, “If people are so concerned about teenage promiscuity, why don’t they charge the guys with statutory rape?” It was about five seconds after I found out the meaning of “statutory rape.”

The local DA is charging the battered boy with misdemeanor sexual assault. For doing what quarterbacks and cheerleaders have done since time immemorial, Damon Hadley is facing a year in jail.
Because in New Hampshire, the age of consent is 16.

What age ARE middle-schoolers? I thought that was grades 6-7-8. What girl 12-14 needs birth control? Sex at that age SHOULD be a criminal activity.

This is a true story.
You know, when we were growing up even kids with lousey families, lousey parents, poverty, etc.,were raised in a community environment which reinforced a common morality, honesty, hard work, responsibility and so forth.
Now, such a kid just doesn’t stand a chance. If a kid’s parents are less than ‘wholesome’ there are no community values to step in and sub for the parents. The community values are all shot to hell. No one is teaching rules of decency nor is anyone upholding them. We EXPECT our middle schoolers to be sexually active.
Incomprehensible.
Why doesn't the school throw in a nice bottle of Chardonnay with the birth control? It'll add to the mood, and besides, "the kids are going to do it anyway."
