“Rudy would probably only take the hand of an Arab leader to throw him down a ravine, or a wadi”
LOL, so true!
Ugh...Maureen Dowd.
They also like putting the word “alleged” in front of terrorists...
They have high journalistic standards for “fairness” you know.
I couldn’t bother to follow the link once I saw the author’s name. Detestable wench.
You know, I think you may be right, but sadly, they are writing in defense of them.
Do you still have to create a user name to read that garbage? It simply isn’t worth the waste of time. I also wouldn’t want them to give them a hit which they would then use to claim readership. They use those numbers to con advertisers into placing adds in their paper, in hopes that a large number of people will see it.
It may not be much, but it’s one last way, besides never buying the paper itself, of killing that disgusting, B.S.ing, Democrat/communist propaganda tabloid.
This is the #1 issue and Rudy is the best on it. Unfortunately it would be a HUGE leap of faith to to believe he’d be ok on the rest of the list. everyone makes mistakes and may change positions but supporting Cuomo is REALLY tough to explain. Especially when it was because he doesn’t like tax cuts.
“Rudy Roughs Up Arabs”
Tough talk for a draft dodger.
Got that right!!!
Oh how I wish for the wonderful days of Times Select, and the near total absence of this blubbering idiot from the online political opinion and newsjunky world.

Having listened to Rudy for years, It seems quite clear that he will say anything, to please anybody.

Great... Rick the Dick Perry is on Fox news now schilling for Rudy.
Perry the ex Dem.
I held my nose and voted for this jerk over Friedman.
I wont make that mistake again.
> “Im not offending all of the Arab world. Im offending exactly who I want to offend and making it clear to them that we stand against them.
The greatest threat to our survival is the Political Correstionists.
The greatest threat to our survival is the Political Correctionists.
If we give them a label “Political Correstionists” or a name to the movement, “Political Correctionism”, we borrow a tactic that they successfully use and deny them a place to hide. By applying a name, it allows us to demonize. The first step in killing the PC movement.
I heard that on Fox too. They are maklng a big deal out of it. Perry, another open border global for Rooty Toot. No surprise here. If you notice, those in the GOP, are trying to create this image for Rooty. Its all a creation, not based in fact.
Perry, Bush, if you make the mistake of supporting Rooty, you get the same as now, except worse.
Rooty will never get my vote.
Not really. Pataki at the time was a yeoman state assemblyman from Peekskill, who had done little to impress in his political career, except perhaps for filling a few potholes and steering money and jobs to family, friends, and political supporters. I had met Pataki several times during his early career as a state assemblyman and I suspect that I was not the only person who thought he was dumb as a box of rocks and bit on the shady side, and that he had no chance whatsoever of defeating Cuomo. If Rudy G. had thrown his political weight behind Pataki and Pataki had lost the election -- as just about every honest person expected -- then Cuomo would have made Rudy's life politically painful and Rudy's tenure as the mayor of a city that idolized Cuomo would have been very short.
Also, the number one goal of just about EVERY elected politician regardless of party affiliation, is not to promote political philosophy or the party platform in the hopes of making world a better place, but to get re-elected. For Pataki to stand a chance at beating Cuomo, he would have to sweep in the suburban and rural counties outside NYC, and in the unlikely chance that he won, he would do his best to redirect state funds away from NYC and reward those areas that had supported his election. With more state funds going to the upstate counties, Rudy would have to get by with less and make politically unpopular fiscal decisions that would hurt his chances for re-election in a city that is overwhelmingly liberal and addicted to the government teat.
I also have to wonder whether Giuliani, as the former United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, had reason for concern that Pataki would fall victim to scandal, and that as a result, Giuliani wanted to keep his distance.
