I wonder if this is a setup by Ann- that is, propose to make everyone Christian, get the expected gasp from liberals, then ask why these same liberals embrace the palestinian cause and make nice with radical muslims, who have exactly that goal to make everyone muslim. Sort of like Rush’s longstanding pronunciation of ASKed as axed, which is the common but unchallenged pronunciation of intercity population.

Jews Need 'Perfecting'

Mrs. NativeNewYorker tells me I need perfecting all the time. And her legs aren't as nice as Ann's...

I think Ann Coulter should stick to politics and stay away from theology. I doubt she is really anti-semitic.

I think what she was trying to say is that some Christians believe that they are “evolved” Jews. That they follow the Old Testment and have become “perfected” (although I never ever heard it put quite that way) by believing in Christ as the Son of God and their Saviour.

It would be better to say that modern day Judaism and Christianity BOTH evolved from a shared origin.

I didn’t see anything in the transcript to indicate that she stated the U.S. would be better off without Jews - which it certainly wouldn’t be - look at Steve Marlsberg, Charles Krauthammer, Mark Levin, Albert Einstein, among very many others.

As a Christian myself, I tend to look at modern Judaism and Christianity as sibling belief systems which grew out of the same common source - late Hellenistic Judaism. That is, I consider Christianity as sort of a Jewish Sect.

I certainly think that is the way most non-Jewish, non-Christian individuals would view things. I’m sure pagan Romans and Greeks would have viewed them as such.

Essentially Christians believe the Messiah came and will return again. Modern day Orthodox Judaism awaits the arrival of the Messiah and rejects the thought that he came already.

Its impossible for anyone to love Christ and hate Christ’s people - its illogical.

What are you talking about??????

Is the idea that the people of ANY religion think they have the ONE true way to salvation a surprise to you? Do you think religion is about holding hands and singing folk songs?

The Christians think they have the way and they should convert everyone to Christianity. The Moslems think they know the way and every should become Islamic. The Jew think they are the chosen people and the rest of us are not in God’s favor, I am not sure where they stand on conversion. The environmentalists think they have the way and they should use the government to force everyone to convert to their earth worship.

What makes the US different is not acceptance of every religion but TOLERANCE of various religions and SECTs within religions, except maybe the environmentalists. What is different with the Islamofacists is they are intolerant and want to kill non-believers.

Ms. Coulter is and has long been a Christian as were the founders of this country. She believes everyone should see the light become a Christian and accept grace as the discovers and as the founders of the US who came to worship as they pleased, convert those here and found Christian societies believed. However she does not favor beheading those who wont covert. Do you see the difference?

Ms Coulter expects the audience to be sophisticated. Ok class, let’s substitute the word “Christian” for “Jew”, Islam for the ideal religion, and see if her statements do not come very close to matching the loon from Iran...or any of the multitude of loon imams out there. So, I guess libs will accept idiotic logic from the musnuts, but will not accept a parody from a woman possessing far, far higher IQ than those in the MSM. Sorry, libs, but once again, Coulter is up there where one requires oxygen, whilst you all are down in the ditches (where you quite obviously belong).

I am sure Jews think the world would be a better place if everyone was Jewish, etc etc

I am not sure that Judaism is an evangelistic religion. My impression is, they might welcome Gentiles when they voluntarily embrace the faith, but they are not going to send missionaries to convert people to believe in YHWH.

Hence, I can understand their taking offense. But if you talked to guys like Dennis Prager or even Rabbi Daniel Lapin, these guys ( who work with Christians ), THOROUGHLY understand the Christian mindset and aren't offended by it.

One Rabbi who might be offended would be Rabbi Schmuley Boteach.

Yeah, I don’t see what the big deal is (other than that such things as Coulter supposedly said here, usually are NOT said, as it’s pushy/rude). Technically, Jews believe Christians have accepted an incorrect Messiah. And so on: Every religion, by definition, believes other religious fall short of the ideal approach to divinity — that is, that those other religions’ adherents could benefit from “perfecting.” Big deal. Did I misunderstand her?

I think everyone should be what his/her conscience tells them to be and not try to force anyone else to be something they don’t want to be - that’s what is wrong with Islam.

Proselytizing is one thing. Degrading another person’s belief system is something very different.

One is made perfect “in Christ”. The moment you accept, acknowledge Christ’s sacrafice on the cross as payment for your sin when the Father see’s you he’s see’s perfection, sinlessness, otherwise you could never enter into the Father’s presence. So, when anyone accepts Christ they are perfected.

Did Christopher Hitchens get blacklisted by the media when he said that we’d be better off if there was no Christianity (or other religion but the focus of his talk/book is Christianity)?

You think her legs are nice? You would have to tie them in knots just to make knees in them.

She needs another 20 lbs on her frame.

If you profess to be a Christian, you should be agreeing with Ann.

Christianity is the FULFILMENT of the Old Law (Law of Moses, aka Judaism). Christ came to do away with the old law. Read the book of Hebrews.

Coulter is right, from a RELIGIOUS perspective.

None of the above is the case.

1) Jesus did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. He said so. Read the Gospels.

2) The book of HEBREWS was addressed to Jews who believed Jesus was the Messiah. Not to Gentiles who had converted to Christianity... That's why it's called H-e-b-r-e-w-s.

3) I am a Christian, but do not believe what Ann was purported to have said is true.

She says outrageous things because it sells her books. Every time she says something like that it buys her a new house or a new Porsche.

I can't read her motives so I guess I'll pass on judging it. However, if one thinks about her statement carefully, THERE IS NOTHING OUTRAGEOUS ABOUT IT.

Exactly. I admit I am highly skeptical of anything that has even been near Media Matters.

The way I read it, she could be using perfecting in the philosophical sense, i.e lacking nothing, or have the complete fullness. I thought that Christians believed that Christianity was the fullness of truth and Christ perfected the Jewish faith so that it lacked nothing. So for a Christian to wish for a Jews to be “perfected” would be appropriate. If you believe that you have the fullness of truth, wouldn’t you want all others to partake...isn’t that true love of neighbor?

I’m Catholic and it doesn’t bother me one iota that there are Mormons lining up to baptize the Pope after he dies. I actually think it is sweet although completely unnecessary. They believe what they believe and they care enough about others to try to help them, although in a manner that appears totally misguided to me. That’s a fundamental difference between Christians and others, they wish to share their faith out of joy not coercion.

Therefore, its value is for you who have faith, but for those without faith: "The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone," and "A stone that will make people stumble, and a rock that will make them fall." They stumble by disobeying the word, as is their destiny.

Total agreement with you about Media Matters. Total Bullbleep.

And there was nothing objectionable by Ms. Coulter. She answered honestly the question she was asked.

The guy didn't have to ask it. But if he understood the Old Testament as well as the New, he would know that for anyone who is a real practitioner...be they Christian or Jew...has a mission to be an evangelist. To bring people who are looking for God, to a loving relationship with Him.

So is Ann Coulter some sort of closet Nazi?

No. Certainly no more than Christopher Hitchens who made even broader statements of Atheist Supremacy.

Maybe it was taken totally out of context...the media is good at that.

Media Matters, the Soros funded SOURCE of this smear, is good at that. The Red Dupes in the media are good at carrying their water.

Maybe, ahem, you should have gone to FOX NEWS and read the whole transcript..........

Ann Coulter could not call herself a Christian if she did not at least ask others to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Read the transcript and STOP posting Media Matters BS here.
