I wonder what the Vegas odds are for Fred winning.

John McCain's candidacy may not be dead, but then again, neither is Ariel Sharon.

Just because a thought occurs doesn't mean it should be put into print.

What about his stand on the Death Penalty?

Do you really think being against the death penalty except for Terrorists is going to set well with the Rank and File republican?

Not likely.

The other night at the Maryland debate he came across as a panderer, not a leader.

If I were an Islamofacist terrorist I think I would be afraid of Thompson

This story is just laughable. Fred will NOT win the nomination, no matter what. He speaks too slow and rambling, too many wives, health not good, etc. Conservatives need someone who has the whole package and can beat Hilary, who we know is going to win the DEM nomination. Mitt is it.

Did you get your crystal ball at a yard sale?

Neither of our candidates, Mitt or Fred, may end up getting the nomination. It's too early to tell, IMO.

"He speaks too slow and rambling, too many wives, health not good, etc."

Maybe this applies to how you feel about him, but he's getting lots of support. Let's just wait a bit before predicting who is going to be the nominee for either side, 'K?

One wife too many? Couple years older than the other candidates? Doesn’t speak in scripted power point sounds bites?

Fred speaks from the heart and I like what I hear. He speaks like a real guy, not some energizer bunny his staff just wound up. He would present a stark contrast to Hillary, someone likable and believable and sincere versus that contrived socialist meglomaniac.

I agree with your take on Thompson. His “Sell By” date is coming up quicker than most people realize. There is no runaway winner in this tired group of hasbeens. It’s like looking at a room full of Bob Doles. Romney has some charisma, but he just isn’t getting much traction.
You would think there would be someone who could take down The HillaBeast in the general election, but unfortunately, much of the country has turned on Bush, and it bodes poorly for most Republicans in ‘08. None of the current potential opponents of HillaBeast has what it takes to get elected to the White House.

Mitt is it.

I don't know what you've been smoking, but Mitt is not it. The guy is a pampered perfumed prince of privilege who comes across as way too slick. Like Giuliani, he's just another northeastern liberal RINO. But my hot-point issue is guns, and I'd trust Mitt with my guns about as much as I'd trust Bill Clinton with my daughter. If either Rudy or Mitt are the nominee, I'll take my vote elsewhere.

pardon me, but I think your analysis is kooky. Fred is not even like Bob Dole...Dole was dull. Thompson has more energy and comes across as very real. What are you looking for? I think you are looking right past a very good character who will calmly trounce any democrats nutty ideas.

Mitt is it.

LMAO!!!
That "Massachusetts" yoke is taking Mitt down to the Marianna Trench.
If Massachusetts elected him he is unelectable, nationally.

I’d say our best hope for a conservative nominee who can win is Huckabee

I don't know how closely you've been following Huckabee, but he's gone nuts lately. Cuck-coo.
