Thanks for the ping.
The San Diego Board of Supervisors recently put in a request for over 100 million to the Federal Gov. for reimbursement for just part of the cost for the past yr for supporting illegals with social Services, etc.
“The way to do that would be for me to lower myself and go apply for welfare!”
uh no, you need not gotat far,I didn’t :-)
Add a h......
CaliGirl, I live in Southern California and my wife is a teacher, so none of this is surprising. Actually, one of my former high school classmates has a research website that several years ago estimated it’s something over $30,000 per illegal per year that we get tagged for, when all the costs are balanced against the supposed ‘benefits’ that these people ‘provide’ for our country. A NEGATIVE $30,000 per year for each of them, and I would imagine that number would be adjusted upward today. Embarrassing and devastating for this country, and especially for what should be the nicest state in the country, but has long since ceased to be.
I don't see either of them representing the people who elected them, do you? I am OUTRAGED, and hope that every other American citizen/taxpayer is outraged too!!
What’s a PUTA?
It’s time to put an end to sanctuary cities and top ut an end to the feds reimbursing the states. If the states don’tget reimbursed they will be forced to stop catering to illegals. Same thing with schools. If they have illegals in the classroom, then no federal funding.

Several years ago, when I had trouble finding work as a middle-aged college student I applied for food stamps. I was denied simply because I was in college, even though I was not anyone’s dependent.
Meanwhile, you can be here illegally — which must mean that you have no means of even proving your identity. I still do not understand how such people can qualify for any taxpayer-supported benefits at all!
So let me get this straight: you can suckle from the government’s teat as an anonymous person and if arrested for a crime, the police may not determine if you are here illegally.
Again, how can someone be allowed to function in this society w/o any valid means of identity verification? Isn’t this a tad dangerous to national security?
Very dangerous to national security and a financial disaster to the taxpayers.
Illegals get tuition breaks that Americans can not get; they get free health care...
When social security and medicare begin to fail and when the next recession arrives, there will be lots of screaming.
Not if...when.
And, thanks to President Bush's New Alliance Task Force (formed in 2003), every single one of them gets to apply for US bank accounts, business, home and auto loans using only their Mexican Matricula Consular card as ID.
Thanks to Bush's Partnership for Prosperity agreement (with Mexico) US tax dollars are sent to Mexico to help Mexican businesses.
Welcome to George W. Bush's Amexica.
I had a similar experience. They told me to go out and have a baby if I wanted assistance.
You mention identity. How do they put their kids into our school systems without social security numbers?
“I had a similar experience. They told me to go out and have a baby if I wanted assistance.”
The catch is you have to do that w/o a father. If you’re a guy, you’re out of luck. I recall G. Gordon Liddy observing that if you subsidize something, you tend to get more of it.
“You mention identity. How do they put their kids into our school systems without social security numbers?”
Equally baffling. How do you get a bank account, driver’s license...The local media dredge up a story of an illegal alien who owned a house. How?
That’s a lot of money! They better raise taxes!
Collecting welfare: Another Job Americans Won’t Do.
The same way they vote, enroll in school, get 'free' medical care, buy cars and houses, drive, get jobs.
