The solution is simple. Christians should do this.
Then point to the MSM for their failures.
Given that most Miller products, with the possible exception of MGD, taste about as much like I imagine urine tasting as any brew not named Corona...Doug, that wouldn’t be much of a sacrifice.
sounds good to me! Miller tastes like pee water anyway. make mine a bud.
I have bought Miller for years, now switched to Bud.
Gays and liberals are hypocrites.
The homos love to mock Christian and American icons and traditions. A few years ago here in Ft Lauderdale at some kind of queer fest the homos re-enacted the Iwo Jima flag raising using a fag flag in place of the Stars nd Stripes.
Kind of cruel to the poor birdies, doncha think?
The thing I find so amusing is how the hedonistic groups (militant homosexuals, hollyweirdo scriptwriters, every up-and-coming ladder-climbing entertainment type, and the intellectual elites that run most academic institutions) have such a thin skin when they are criticized for this type of over the top behavior. Meanwhile, most Christians simply shrug off this type of attack on their religion and carry on with their life.
What the dimwit attackers of the Christian faith should realize is that it has survived 2000 years of hedonists, atheists, gnostics, moral relativists, and secular humanists striving to destroy it. Why they focus all their energy on this task with such glee is fascinating, considering they would all scream bloody murder if this type of behavior was targeted toward them. But then again, they are so much more enlightened, tolerate, and open minded than those backwards Christians that they love to ridicule and bitch about (sarcasm).
Icehouse in a bottle was my favorite, drunk my last.
Those who sit in the seat of mockers are playing an extremely dangerous game. This game has eternal consequences.
We know what happens anytime a fraternity engages in a racist “blackface” or jungle themed party and takes pictures.
So why are the atheist homosexual crowd permitted to get away with mocking Christians in a similar manner?
This is not a free speech issue because while as distasteful as both acts are, they are both legal (more on that later), yet only one get criticized in the mainstream media.
As to the question of legality. Nancy Pelosi said that she would not make a statement as this is a first amendment rights issue.
REALLY? If they had put up a proper Last Supper poster in public using private funds and sponsorships, it would be permitted to hang there? I doubt it. Not in the light of recent court decisions.
And then we must tackle the issue of the separation of church (or atheism) and state. The state shall make no law supporting or condemning a particular faith.
So why are there tax dollars SUBSIDIZING this religious slam? Again, there would not be any defense of tax dollars going towards the publication of legitimate Last Supper posters or a street fair that would celebrate such matters.
And lastely, there are sex toys in the materials and public displays of actual violent flesh ripping S&M in the events at this festival. San Fransicko has pretty liberal laws when it comes to public sex appararently, not to mention the lack of proper safeguarding of the public from blood among other biohazards.
the left is giving up abortion, advancing homosexuality and euthenasia.
We hear an awful lot about the witches who were burned (or drowned) in this country but very little about the Christians who’ve been burned or beheaded or thrown to lions for millenia.
It is not an easy road to walk but it is just. And we will show them the way by our actions.
There was a graffiti artist who illegally alters billboards. He went off on a Bud Lite billboard in Houston last year and put up the slogan “King of Beers” “King of Jews” with a portrait of Jesus in the middle. Budweiser distanced themselves from any involvement (they were not involved) but I never heard any national report on this nor any prosecution of the guy (who is commonly known for doing it and was in town that week for an art show of his work up the street from the incident).
What they don’t acknowledge is that this is the same mocking that Jesus Himself endured.
This is as old as time. And they do need to be outed for their bigotries.
“Diversity” is not genuine. It is socialist political correctness all in the name of throwing over the old establishment. They aren’t anti-establishment. They are against the Western Establishment. It is about subversion.
They show no tolerance for my faith, heritage, or political views. The media turns a blind eye to such outrages. Therefore media is partnered in the propagation of hate.
Somebody needs to post the picture. The picture really is worth a thousand words, and more...
Michelle Malkin has the actual picure on her site:
http://michellemalkin.com/2007/09/27/miller-beer-steps-in-it-again-the-folsom-street-fair-fiasco/
As has been discussed in other threads, there have been hundreds of parodies of that painting, many much higher profile (network TV).
The picture is certainly offensive enough that if I had been planning on going “the festival” I would not go. But beyond that I don’t see it as a big issue.
Most Christians I know are very secure in their faith and extremely tolerant of the never ending ridicule and character assassination their faith receives that takes place on a daily basis in our modern times. The militant homosexuals obviously perceive the tolerance of the Christian community as weakness. That is why they have become more and more emboldened to do these stunts.
Persecution of this nature is nothing compared to the historical persecution of the early Christians. Ancient Rome discovered that the more they tried to stamp out the Christians the faster the religion spread. People do not rally around sociopathic bullies, this behavior will eventually come back to roost on the homosexual community.
