If it was in the shape of a hammer and sickle nobody would have complained.

I was once billeted in those barracks. There’s a reason for the design and it doesn’t have anything to do with any ideology.

Nah....movement of personnel. The Pentagon was designed with similar efficiency of movement.
At Coronado (North Island), UDT/SEAL trained and everything they did was at double time, whether heading off for breakfast or classes.....or Liberty. I was there TDY for SERE and found out quickly that you run with the crowd or get trampled.
Look over the layout of the buildings, George. A Brigade could empty out of them in less than a couple minutes.

I am a Jew...PLEASE do NOT change these buildings!!! What an outrageous expense for something that can only be seen from high altitude.

And how is it that every morning the sun comes up looking just like the Japanese flag that was on those planes at Pearl Harbor? Somebody do something, no matter the cost!

Next all buildings resembling a cross, star, or crescent will have to be modified. Vacant land will have to be altered as well—that’s an atheist symbol.

Looks like the National Park Service will have to tear down the beautiful Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite.

LOLwhite gravel in a circle and sunset maples all around!"
Don't be surprised if it happens that way. They should really tear those old buildings down and build new ones. I lived in one in Kansas for 2 years. Modern military barracks are like big college dorms. With floors for different shifts of duty. Like in CO, Spain and Holland.
Meant for two guys comfortably. Easily converted with expertise to accomodate 8 women and men playing poker and drinking beer, smoking and cavorting around somewhat loudly. I made sure that happened far away from my dorm room where I slept:) Sneaky back then? You bet! The herd was a distance from me when somebody like the First Seargent stopped by and told the whole bunch it's OVER.
I know he was out for me for that one, but I was not there. I was a just a little sleeping angel:):)

That is exactly what needs to stall out on the 405 to L.A. on the Sepulveda Pass some Monday Morning.
