If this is legit, then a sidebar link of some sort should get the Colonel all the email he wants. I wouldn't’t hop on it until I learn if it is legit.

A google search shows there is a Col Simcock and in looking at those it would be reasonable that he might make such a request.

There was a bulletin board outside a DFAC at Al Asad that had all kinds of appreciative letters written by school kids.

A couple young Marines were reading some of these “Dear Soldier” letters when a Staff Sergeant barked at them to move on cuz those letters were written to Soldiers, not Marines.
