When you say ‘stature’ do you really mean renown?

Yes, you are right, I mean renown as well as stature.

Of course there are splendid Catholics, and I have had the privilege of knowing them all my life: really good, really intelligent, obedient to God and at once heroic and humble.

But I'm talking about leadership, and --- since I started off making the comparison to Colson & Dobson--- I'm talking about national leadership. Unfortunately, most American Catholics (outside of the organized prolife movement) have literally never heard of Fr. Eutenauer or Fr. Pavone, let alone Bishops Burke, Chaput and Burskewitz.

Still looking for nominations.

We must keep praying to God to raise up leaders.

Also they both hate the way of life we enjoy and they both want with everey atom in their beings want to destroy it, and us.
