Laura may possibly be the perfect woman. Conservative, good looking, smart and funny as hell. My favorite Radio host by far.

Matthews should have tapped out after round 1.

I have to agree. She allowed her emotions to interfere with her focus.

I love her passion. I think she’s becoming very very fed up with this anti-America crowd. As we all are.

Fire Chris Matthews and give his show to Laura. The ratings would go up from the bottom of the barrel where it has always been to one of the top shows on Television. She would be right up there with O’Reilly in no time.

I love Laura Ingraham she is #1 in my book some talk of conservative values thinking being hard nose will make it so, but Laura is good natured yet firm on what is right!

She does not throw a fit because she does not get her own way!

Press Forward Goodness!

I saw that interview at 4:30 eastern time. I was laughing about how Laura put Chrissy down not once but alot of times. Laura Ingraham was on her game tonight even to the end of the interview.

I was thinking the same thing reading this pathetic transcript, and have been thinking exactly that EVERY time I watch ANY “shoot-outs” on Fox or MSNBC, or wherever. They are JOKES. I honestly don’t know why Laura or Ann or Michelle would go on anywhere like that and have to deal with such a stacked deck , with smarmy condescenscion from the likes of Chris Matthews, and above all such a severely circumscribed “universe of discourse” allowed.

Matthews: "‘I am saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows, the Iraq war is largely about oil.'"

Ingraham: "Did he say that George Bush believed when he went in the war was about oil?"

Matthews: "No he just, he's just, he's just said the Iraq war is largely about oil."

So, someone with no involvement in planning the war opines that it was about oil but that Bush didn't believe it was about oil?

This impugns the Administration how?

Refresh my memory: what has happened to the price of oil the past four years?

If we wanted Saddam's oil we woulda removed the sanctions with the requirement that he sell it to us.

These are the smart people?!

Ingraham in a hair pulling match with Prissy. I have mixed emotions on these. Glee at seeing him cry and joy at seeing him cry.

But the part where Laura asks Prissy "Who's your daddy?" to leave no doubt he's owned is sometimes too much to bear. I can't stop laughing.

It's clear that the libs have got their talking points from the DNC. Everyone of them was taking the "oh you want to debate the ad not the war" line. Once again Laura shows these people are not very bright at all.

I watched because Laura was guesting, and I have not seen Chris in a long time, but he didn’t seem as aggressive and in your face with her, he seemed slow or thoughtful or something. Later on in the show he talked about the Clinton’s wanting to give back the money quick because they don’t want the people remembering all the renting the Lincoln Bedroom, and described some of the funny money scandals. He really attacked them and the other two were kind of taken aback. This was just before he signed off.

I think Chris and Laura personally like each other. I listen to Laura’s radio show pretty much every day now and I gather she’s been on Hardball about 2 or 3 times in the past week or so.

Love Laura, but a debate coach would have called it very close, with the edge to Matthews. She's fiesty, but did not refute Matthews points effectively.

I am absolutley with you...love Laura and think that she and Michelle are two of the smartest, most tenacious, and ~ballsyest~ conservatives in the media.

Still -- and I only watched the video...did not read -- Laura struggled to try to make a very subtle distinction between whether the war was "about" oil or whether it was "started over oil." She was not very successful, IMO.

I can’t be the only person who gets a twitch in one eye everytime the media and/or partisan political hacks uses the pointless and utterly useless, catch phrase “debate the war”, can I?

We are currently at war, with two open fronts.
We will either win these wars, or not.

Debating while actively waging war is useless and counterproductive.

We can still “debate” who we prefer to actively war with next, since the matter is still open...but not for much longer.
(That we will open another front is not strictly a matter of our own choice, as several nations have declared their fervent desire and intent to wage war against us.)

After winning or losing the wars we are currently conducting, we can actually “debate” what went wrong or what went right.

The thing about shows like this is the guests know that they better talk fast, or they will be talked over by the host. BOR does this all the time.

That has to make the guest a bit nervous, so they try to talk fast, with not a lot of time to think about how to phrase each thought to make the most impact.

How anybody can watch those vacuous shout-fests between rude and bullying know-nothings is beyond me. Laura Ingraham excepted, of course.
