Given the track record of the Amish so far, I'm going to side with them on this one.....for now. Something tells me the Sheriff is blowing smoke and trying to justify calling up the SWAT team.
Maybe I'll be shown wrong, but we'll see.

Sheriff Fred AbdallaI used to spend a lot of time in the area (ex-wife's family lives there) and Abdalla is one of those "Generalissimos For Life" types. Organized crime enjoys having him in charge.

I used to help some abused exAmish women. The stories I heard about incest & being abused since childhood were heartbreaking. I no longer do it. But some Amish do hunt & have guns. It depends on the sect they are in. I came away from the experience with thinking there are many good people but as in life there are some bad ones too.
