Read the article. The woman was a schizophrenic, according to this piece. Her behavior was probably irrational due to her mental defect. The cops are supposed to be trained to deal with people like this. While there may be more facts than reported here, based on this report the cops' tazering of her 10 times was clearly excessive and inappropriate in the circumstances.

There was a time when our State Troopers had to be at least 5’10” tall to even be considered.
Of course that had to change when EEO regs kicked in.
I even remember one who was 7’1” tall. When he put his boots on, along with that tall Trooper hat, he was close to 8’ tall. I don.t think he ever had to “subdue” anyone. A nicer guy, you never met, but when he told some punk to do something, it got done.
The thing is, a big guy may not be any tougher than a little one, but not many people want to find out.

Howdy snowtigger. Having a size requirement on troopers would seem to be a wise move, especially in regards to tax-dollars. One of the things that study said, if I remember right, is that the uses of force didn’t necessarily come from female cops relying on force because they are physically weaker, a lot of times it came from male cops using force to make sure that a female cop would not be hurt in instances where they wouldn’t normally if a male cop was in the same situation.

If she were in a wheel chair I would think that over a certain amount of time she would get tired. I am athletic but I could not be slinging hammers and knives for hours on end.

I was stalked and threatened by a man who blamed his insane actions on “diabetes”.
I didn’t call the cops to resolve the problem, but I sincerely doubt you would approve my entirely successful method of dealing with him...in my own private way.

That said,
Crazy lady in wheelchair was tasered to death by incompetent female cop.
Cops are actually trained to deal with crazy people.
The dead wheelchair bound nut job had knives, not guns.
If the cop was close enough to taser, she was close enough to discern that deadly force was not warranted.

Nine taser shots?
That is deadly force.
If you doubt it is deadly force, arrangements can be made to prove it to you.
