I’ve heard that pitbulls are very misunderstood loving pets.

Temperament
The Cane Corso should be a confident dog, very devoted to its family, and not pose a threat to strangers welcomed into the home. He is easily trained and generally naturally protective of children. Since the breed is very smart and active, it is advised that owners find activities to stimulate the dog. They also often suffer from separation anxiety. A well trained and socialised Corso is not only a good ambassador for the breed, but for canines in general

Despite the accidental killing of his own dog, Kenner says he's thankful the officer was there. He's thankful for now. Wait until the lawyer tells him how much he can earn by being distraught at the loss of he beloved pet.
I hope I'm wrong.

Cane Corsos aren’t pit bulls.
They are worse. They are like giant pits with attitude.
Nobody who owns Cane Corsos has any business letting them run loose. It’s like owning guns. “They just got out” is no excuse with them. You have to absolutely make sure they are confined to your property. If they jump fences, then they belong in a kennel.

Wow, you go for a nice stroll with your doggies and you don’t know how things will end up.

Richard Kenner was walking his dogs, a shih tzu and a shepherd-husky mix, about 7:30 a.m. in the 12,900 block of Asbury Drive when two Cane Corsos attacked him. They weren't pitbulls, they were Cane Corsos, which are a type of Mastiff from Italy.

I’m sorry, but the offending dogs were not pit bulls; the attacking dogs were Cane Corsos, an Italian Breed used as guard dogs...

This story makes a good argument why ordinary citizens should be able to arm themselves. If the off duty officer hadn’t been there, the guy would probably be dead.

Somehow, in the confusion, the shih tzu's leash was snagged by a car, which dragged it down the road. That is one dog who had a very, very bad day.
