Missed it but sure would like to see the replay....
Ping!
Ddin’t Debbie Schlussel break something about this a few days ago?
I’ll bet that Baath facist Assad had to change his underwear!
Way to go Israel!!
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Seen various reports like this, that the Israelis had troops on the ground....they OWN the Syrians, if true.
Their silence says VOLUMES. If it were the cache of weapons destined for Hezbullah, Syrians must have been screaming by now. Whatever was bombed must be something Syrians want to keep secret at all times.
bravo!
BASHAR: WHAT HAPPEN?
KATZ: WE SET UP YOU THE BOMB.
... a senior US State Department official, said Syria might have obtained nuclear equipment from secret suppliers, and added that there were a number of foreign technicians in the country.
Asked if they could be North Korean, he replied: There are North Korean people there. Theres no question about that. He said a network run by AQ Khan, the disgraced creator of Pakistans nuclear weapons, could be involved.
But why would nuclear material be in Syria? Known to have chemical weapons, was it seeking to bolster its arsenal with something even more deadly?
Alternatively, could it be hiding equipment for North Korea, enabling Kim Jong-il to pretend to be giving up his nuclear programme in exchange for economic aid? Or was the material bound for Iran, as some authorities in America suggest?
why would nuclear material be in Syria, indeed.
Hmmm.. I know the Middle East is notorious as a trading market,, but..
As a bonus, the Israelis proved they could penetrate the Syrian air defence system, which is stronger than the one protecting Iranian nuclear sites.
****************************************************
Betcha the Iranians are sh*ting bricks right about now.
Good!
If this was nuclear material, can’t it just be found with a geiger counter and put back in their jars?
Where were US planes that there could be some potential for mistaken attacks? Hmmmmm.
By its actions, Israel showed it is not interested in waiting for diplomacy to work where nuclear weapons are at stake.
If this is the case, then Iran must not be as close as thought, or they would have been the target.
Can you imagine the outrage by liberals in this country if we had carried out such a clandestine raid? They would be demanding hearings, investigations and firings.
The plot sickens...
There is “interesting” and then there is “DAMN Interesting”.
This is DAMN Interesting.
One wonders if Iran is disturbed or DAMN Disturbed.... as Syria is DAMN miffed....
Assad.. the game is up.... Ahmahdumbjerk, heads up...
Israeli military intelligence sources claim Syrian special forces moved towards the Israeli outpost of Mount Hermon on the Golan Heights. Tension rose, but nobody [outside of Israeli, Syrian, Russian and American authorities] knew why. At this point, Barak feared events could spiral out of control. The decision was taken to reduce the number of Israeli troops on the Golan Heights and tell Damascus[.]
[T]he tension was over. Syria relaxed its guard shortly before the Israeli Defence Forces struck.
They did whine a bit about Israel's Jets flying over a Syrian "resort" area. They had to mention it because the Jets were observed by the public. They did not mention any thing about a *gasp* bombing.
Geezo, doesn't The Times know when to quit writing? No one in previous speculations, already written about in several earlier publications, went so far as to conjer up that diplomats trust Li'l Kim.
