The terrorists intentionally target civilians.

Pelosi, Reid and company still want them to win.

Pathetic.

"Q: How many members of your household, if any, have died as a result of the conflict in Iraq since 2003 (i.e, as a result of violence rather than a natural death such as old age)? Please note that I mean those who were actually living under your roof."

No questions on how many of those members of your household died after they joined the Jihad, Al Qaeda, planted roadside bombs, or were otherwise shot while engaging US or Iraqi troops?

No questions on how many of those family members died from marketplace car bombs?

So all deaths were counted as 'civilian deaths', and all deaths were the fault of the US?

Typical. In that case, every death in the United States due to violent crime, gangbaning, etc., are the direct fault of the United States as well.

A British survey offers the highest estimate to date

This various surveys and polls regarding this issue have always lacked something. That missing something is common sense, which I would need before accepting any notion of accuracy.

America has been in Iraq for four years and approximately six months or 1640 days.

What would I have to believe if I were to accept the earlier estimate of 655,000 Iraqi civilian deaths due to America’s presence in Iraq? I would have to accept that there had been an average of 400 Iraqi civilian deaths each and every day for 1640 days without interruption.

What would I have to believe if I were to accept the new estimate of 1,000,000 Iraqi civilian deaths due to America’s presence in Iraq? I would have to accept that there had been an average of 610 civilian deaths each and every day for 1640 days without interruption.

I cannot recall a single day, much less 1640 days in a row, in which there were reports of 400 to 600 Iraqi civilian deaths.

Since this seems to be the next estimate, what would I have to believe if I were to accept a new estimate of 2,000,000 Iraqi civilian deaths due to America’s presence in Iraq? I would have to accept that there had been an average of 1220 civilian deaths each and every day for 1640 days without interruption.

There is a website that does seem to provide a reasonable amount of common sense regarding this issue. Iraq Body Count publishes estimates of between 72,000 and 79,000.

What would I have to believe if I were to accept the Iraq Body Count estimate of 80,000 Iraqi civilian deaths due to America’s presence in Iraq? I would have to accept that there had been an average of 49 civilian deaths each and every day for 1640 days without interruption. That seems to better approximate the figures I see reported. Based on the methods of reporting and the database the website describes I would recommend a visit to the web site. That is unless you feel your dogma would not be able to handle the visit.
