Maybe one of those attempts was somebody sending Castro a box of 300 toxic cigars, so they count that as 300 attempts rather than one attempt... Did he try each and every one of those stogies? How did he verify them all to be poisoned? Did the greedy rat bastage even consider that, maybe, he was supposed to share those cigars with his buddies, associates and visiting dignitaries?
