If Willard doesn’t eliminate Tompkins, he endorses what his man has done.
If he does, well, what can I say? Flippity-floppity, Willard’s on his way.

I had Washington post listed as the source, but it’s Washington Post via CBS. Could you fix it for me?

Governor Romney should take full responsibility for this type of high-tech gutter politics and issue an immediate apology," said spokesman Todd Harris. After calling Reagan "adamantly pro-choice," I'd say Governor Romney should take full responsibility for this type of pathetic slander and issue an immediate apology.

Romney’s campaign has too much of this underhanded kind of thing associated with it. Not good.

“featured a picture of Thompson depicted in a frilly outfit more befitting a Gilbert and Sullivan production than a presidential candidate.”
If it’s good enough for Rudy. it’s good enough for Fred.

Don’t hold your breath. Romney never apologized for falsely accusing Reagan of being “adamantly pro-choice”.

If its good enough for Rudy. its good enough for Fred. But Rudy actually wore that stuff (and gave every indication of enjoying it capitally), while the Fredpic appears to be a photoshop.

I know that politics is about winning, and part of that is about undercutting your opponents. But we expect better of the Republicans. Romney is not my first choice (in fact, he’s near the bottom of my list, above Rudy), but I used to at least have some respect for the man. If he doesn’t fire Thompkins and disavow what he’s done, forget it. He’ll be toast in the campaign, as well - Thompson will really make him look bad.
Republicans should observe the 11th Commandment, and debate issues like adults, not like 5th graders.

So Rudy is man enough to be comfortable with his masculinity and Fred isn’t? I doubt that. Fred probably laughed this off but his operatives used the opportunity to go after Romney who’ll have to fire the SC firm.

A spokesman for Romney's campaign said he will look into questions about the anti-Thompson site. "Our campaign is focused on the issues and ideas that are of paramount concern to voters," said Kevin Madden. "The Web site we are focused on is MittRomney.com."Gack.

Yup. Gutter politics. Fire the dude.
Like a website that focusses on an opponent’s flaws.
Like grade-school level name calling of using a name for a candidate that he himself doesn’t use.
Like putting a clown nose on a candidate and posting it on FR.
Like constantly bashing a candidate for things your own candidate can be accused of.
Like mocking and deriding the religious background of a candidate.
Yup. Gutter politics.

I heard the pic was real, and it taken while he was rehearsing for a play or something. The sleazy part was posting it out of context.

Well, Fred is a professional actor of some repute. Dolling up seems to be Rudy's hobby.
