I might give this some credence if it came from a more credible source than either AP or Yahoo.
However, sisnce it didn’t . . . . . . .
“I have come to the conclusion that some people really dont want freedom-and therefore Bushs theory of spreading freedom is wrong. Islamic Law (Sharia) does not permit freedom of speech, thought, religion, etc, etc. Large majorities of Muslims want Sharia law imposed in every country.”
Then my conclusion is that, regretible, a LARGE number of Muslins need to be put to the sword to end that kind of thinking. If some towel head says he wants “Sharia”, we cleave him head to toe.
My I am rather bellicose today.
>Paperdoll, I truly admire your gentle nature.<
Nothing gets my Irish up like insuborninate who are out to do an honorable person in. And to think the “ladies and gentlemen” we have voted into office fit that description is unbelievable.
I was serious. That your restraint was kept to "vote 'em out" is admirable.
D' ye ken noo, lass?
More non news from the survey:
“Iraqis Sunni and Shiite alike almost unanimously reject
other activities of al Qaeda in Iraq attacking Iraqi civilians (100 percent call this
unacceptable), attempting to gain control of some areas (98 percent) and recruiting
foreign fighters to come to Iraq (97 percent). “
We have totally won the hearts and minds war against Al Qaeda in Iraq. They promised to turn Iraq into their fiefdom and they have been CRUSHED on that count. The media absolutely refuses to acknowledge this HUGE success.
There is no nation on the Earth as opposed to Al Qaeda as Iraq. Our own nationa has higher support for Al Qaeda.
What a crock of shiite.
A World Public Opinion poll shows about 75 percent of Morocco, Pakistan, Egypt, and Indonesia Muslims want Sharia Law. They believe it is the only way to follow Allah and Muhammad.
There are groups of Muslims in Iraq who love the troops...mostly children. However, they are brainwashed to hate Americans in their Mosques.
Why do these news organizations have any credibility left?
Polls of Germans post-WW2 reveal Germans want Americans to go home, and polls in 2007 say the same thing. Nothing changes.
In the meantime, the press sucks up this bogus poll in between Pina Coladas poolside at the Hotel Palestine, Baghdad
Polls are for strippers and liberals.
After reading the FULL report, it is difficult to begin to describe the outrageous deception contained in current headlines. Accurate headliens would report the following based on the survey:
1. IRAQIS 100 PERCENT OPPOSED TO AL QAEDA IN IRAQ
2. SURGE WORKS— WITHDRAWAL FAILS
3. IRAQIS EQUALLY DIVIDED ON US STAYING IN IRAQ
4. ANONYMOUS POLLSTERS FIND IRAQIS SCARED TO GIVE THE WRONG ANSWER TO POLLSTERS WHO MIGHT KILL THEM
Keep in mind that the survey shows security improving in Bagdad and Anbar. The survey shows a decline in Basra. This means pullout by Brits caused reduced security while increased forces in Bagdad and Anbar improved security.
Really?
The evidence I’ve seen paints an entirely different picture. So who’s lying: ABC, BBC, NHK or Iraqis?
Yet another rigged poll reported as “news”. Gotta hand it to the Left and their MSM minions — they are going all out on this caper.
The poll is phonier than a three dollar bill.
Sadly, both ABC and the Iraqis are lying.
The legitimacy of the lies told by Iraqis are somewhat more comprehensible. ABC news trying to actively deceive the public about our success in Iraq is despicable.
Anonymous surveyors are asking Iraqis if they support killing US troops. If the anonymous surveyor hates the US, they may send back people to kill the respondent. If the anonymous surveyor is of US affiliation, it is safe to say either opinion.
Would this dilemma skew the data? Absolutely. So why does ABC not require pollsters to identify themselves? Because they want the respondents to take on that dilemma in the interest of news. Letting the Iraqi public face the gun or bomb is far preferable to losing journalistic assets.
This is a great view of the heartless view of American journalism.
Despite these dilemmas, if you read through the data, you can see how the survey actually shows success. People are more free to express opinions and Bagdad and Anbar are more secure.
Islamic terrorism’s weapon of choice is the Associated Press.
The poll was conducted by a company called D3 Systems.
Below is the link to an article on their website about the difficulty that they faced in attempting to conduct polling in Afghanistan. The same obstacles also apply to Iraq.

They’re conducting face-to-face interviews. Who in their right mind would answer such questions truthfully?
