IMHO he needs to be replaced with someone who will build a fitting memorial. The families of the dead victims should have a say in what is going to be built. A Crescent is in poor taste and insulting to the victims. Shaking my head again...

The irony is that the muslime are the first to pout when they see a Coke can or a candy bar that has something vaguely approximating the Arabic chicken scratchings for "Allah" or "Mohammerhead." We're constantly condemned as "insensitive" for allowing such blasphemies on commercial products. Yet these same filth go wide-eyed and blind when their putrid symbol defiles this holy ground.
A more disgusting race of people I cannot imagine.
