I have also told my classes . . . that should such a situation occur . . . I will draw the attention of the attackers to myself. And I expect the exMarines and other such in the class to then immediately take as great an advantage of my distracting the Jihadi’s as possible.

Apparently, homeschoolers don’t care if other people’s children are killed in terror attacks as long as their own children are safe. How callous.
There’d be one lone person who plinks a few shots off at a mosque (probably late at night). The press would cover it as the hate-crime of the century, giving the country a finger-wagging tongue-lashing about the need for tolerance, the investigators would be ruthless in hunting down the lone gunman.

Yes, the Islamics never ended the seventh crusade, even though the West did. The WOT, as it is being waged, will indeed be a long war, as it already has been the longest war in history (since the foundation of Islam and Muhammad’s proclamation to offer the infidels three choices: conversion, subjection and jizya, or death).
They have two choices: continue the war as they have and continue to killing the West a nick at a time, or launch an attack such as cited in the article to fully engage the West in a bloodbath. I’m not sure which is the worst plan. If the ‘moderates’ truly are moderate, then the latter plan is best because it will give them the spine to take back their religion. If they secretly side with the extremists, the former is because the latter will push the moderates to join their extremist allies.

Open racism and not so hidden lynchings happened because the majority of southern whites were OK with it. Men listed the Klan on their resume and paraded down main street in their relalia because the majority of people were OK with it.
I grew up in a state that was split during the Civil War, but which did not have Jim Crow. I've lived in the South now for 17 years where there was Jim Crow. I see very little racism by whites, but history is what it is.
