Anyone who believes that the left isn't trying to destroy the moral fiber of America is either ignorant or insane.

You got that right. Why in the name of heaven (or hell in this case) do they have to attach these kinds of amendments to a defense bill, for crying out loud!!! It never has made any sense to me.

Bush says that he’s pro-life, but he signed a few bills that gave money to Planned Parenthood and the World Health Organization, two groups who perform abortions.

I second that, with special emphasis on Kennedy, for even attempting to attach this heinous bill of his to defense funding.

Line item veto comes to mind. A strong line item veto would force these amendments into bills of their own. Let them stand or fall on their own merits.

This practice should not be allowed. And it is one reason Bush kept rejecting the last defense funding bill for so long.

It was ruled unconstitutional when passed as part of the Contract with America

So why is it still happening? Better put, why are we allowing it to happen, via our reps?

“Anyone who believes that the left isn’t trying to destroy the moral fiber of America is either ignorant or insane.”

The Libertarians are doing their damnedest to help them.

The only real difference between most libertarians and the left is that libertarians own guns and don’t like to pay taxes, most of them are actually anarchists.

You wouldn't think this would be a winning strategy.

But the DNC media will spin the issue of ESCR as "saving lives" without producing one bit of evidence that embryonic stem cells actually do save lives, ignoring the research of adult stem cells and not, of course, telling the public that government funds will be used to kill embryos.

This is just an off-shoot of the abortion lobby that now wants to make money off the aborted fetuses already on their bloody hands.

Don't even get me started on "gender identity." When I was growing up, we already knew.

Geez, I can't stand the Dems.
