You wonder if it is all “life is great if you don’t weaken” which means you don’t have to account or devise reasons or non reasons for anything, if you so chose. If you are young you can ignore this — and should — but when you are old it is hard, especially with the added weight of tradition, the weight of C. S. Lewis and Evelyn Waugh -- for example, Lord Marchmain’s relapse in Brideshead Revisited can influence ones identity. Is Flew now giving us a happy ending? These philosophers with literary ties!
