“Frankly, no one knows. But, like it or not, the trucks are rolling. Its a done deal.”
It has a little to do with “We The People” not actually meaning anything anymore. That’s pretty simple to understand.

In ten more years, the way we’re going, there won’t be a dimes worth of difference between the US and Mexico. And you know I’m not expecting Mexican standards to come up.

Even high level jobs. Would an Indian doctor work here for 50k a year and free living accomadations, food etc.. so he can send the money home.

would they? I wouldn’t know, I just know my brother got paid crap as a truck driver and this will force their pay down if they can pick up loads in the US and deliver them in the US. Its only a matter of time before the border is dispenced with (for commercial vehicles) at this rate.

My brother had the Brownsville TX run, which is probably gone. Just get a Mexican truck to pick it up and carry it back- much cheaper

I guess we will have to wait for the first outrage- a wrecked bus full of kids or a family van or some other group of Americans killed by one of these people.

I think 50k a year is huge money in India. I remember one person wrote they made 30k a year in India as a software manager and had 3 servants. I admit I don’t know what doctors make there though.
I’ve done taxes for a couple long haul truck drivers and they made good money.. about 100k. But long hours, and away from their family most of the year. A tough job too because you can’t make a bad mistake even once in your whole career.

We already have illegal aliens committing horrific crimes in the U.S. but that isn't stopping Jorge Bush from allowing illegals into the country.

Mexico is here September 6, 2007
Pat Buchanan
"Mexico does not end at its borders. ... Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico." That astonishing claim by Mexican President Felipe Calderon, in his state of the nation address at the National Palace Sunday, brought his audience wildly cheering to its feet.
Were the United States a serious nation, Calderon's claim that Mexico extends into the United States would have produced an instant demand from the U.S. ambassador for clarification. Failing to receive it, he would have packed his bags, and the United States would be on the verge of severing diplomatic relations.
In an earlier time, U.S. troops would be rolling to the border......
