Emeril doesn’t intend to demean military women when he says “bam.”
The term you used is a pejorative that not only describes the shape of a Navy woman’s cover (uniform hat) but also her anatomy. It is akin to calling her a “c*nt.” It is never used respectfully. Its use is specifically intended to insult and demean.
There are thousands of Navy women who are serving or have served this country with dignity and honor under very difficult conditions. I am merely asking you to refrain from insulting them. A Navy woman should not log on to Free Republic and see that sort of derogatory speech against her.
I highly doubt you would refer to male military members with an insulting, pejorative term on this forum. I am only asking you to extend the same courtesy to women who serve.

If the source of this information (femaile naval officer?) cannot fathom the purpose for such an attack, he/she has no business serving in the forces of the United States Navy. Perhaps he/she can be returned home to become an anti-war protester.
