Hummm...

I have been checking my thesaurus and I can’t find threatened to be a synonym for humored, bemused or entertained...

"...Paul Collective..."

I'm a Paul supporter, but some of the terms coming out of this race are too funny.

Is there someone out there with computer skills that can fit a nice picture of Ron Paul over a cube and place it with stars in the background? That would be hilarious. The Paul Collective. You shall be assimilated. Good luck. We are having hard enough time assimilating the Mexicans.

“I’m not aware that the “Jewish Lobby” you refer to is responsible for our continued massive ground presence in Germany. Please feel free to let me know if I haven’t gotten the word.”

Go back and read my post again. I thought it interesting that the author whom I quoted made reference to ‘code words’. Then I found your response replete with paleo-conservative and libertarian ‘code words’.

“As long as you’ve asked about Jewish conspiracies could you tell me how I should answer those who ask about the Bergen Record’s reporting on the Israelis who were seen cheering and recording the attacks on the WTCs from a rooftop in Jersey City? I’ll admit that one stumps me.”

Oh, you did get the memo? That story was posted here by Justin Raimondo of antiwar dot com. He’s a big truther. Runs a sister website to Lew Rockwell who is also a big truther. Both are big in the ‘Jewish lobby runs American foreign policy’ business. Ron Paul is listed as a contributor on both sites.

We used to call him ‘Justin, the jooos did it, Raimondo’ before Jim banned him.

“Are you saying that misguided interventionism won’t anger people in the countries involved? Actions have consequences. Even good actions can bring negative consequences.”

I’m saying that anyone who believes that all we have to do is come home and leave the muslim extremist alone and they will leave us alone is woefully misinformed.

Let me ask you a question. Do you believe that US foreign policy should be determined by those who murder innocent civilians?

“If you step between your next door neighbor and his wife as he beats her, do you think that he is going to thank you or will he look for ways to retaliate?”

Which is more important, preventing the violence or avoiding retalitation?

“So anyone that uses such statements could most likely be anti-semitic?”

I made no judgement about the motivation for the use of that phrase. I did point out it’s origin. Do you deny that the phrase ‘centered on America’s interests’ is a phrase commonly used by paleo-conservatives and libertarians to refer to the ‘Jewish lobby that controls our national policy’.

“So you discount the concept that every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction.”

Do you believe US foreign policy should be determined by those who murder innocent civilians?

“I noticed that is this morning’s disgusting and repeated ad nauseum tactic to try to shut down any conversation in the Paul threads.”

Oh, BS. No one is trying to shut down the conversation in the Ron Paul threads unless you think pointing out the origins of Ron Paul’s political thought is stiffling debate.

Perhaps you should reread mine. But before you do, I consider myself what you would refer to as a Paleo-Conservative with Libertarian leanings. I only wish to see our forces deployed when American interests are clearly served or threatened. During the time I served in the US Army in Europe nobody ever suggested to me, and I'd have been very surprised if anyone had, that we maintained those forces because of the "Jewish Lobby".

The Bergen Record article is something I can't explain. Evidently you can't either.

Hard as it may be for you to believe, not everyone who disagrees with you suspects a "Jewish" conspiracy rules the world.

“BTW - you can lose your tagline now. The earmark claim is bunk.”

Which part is bunk? Do you deny that Ron Paul requests earmarks? Or that he votes against the earmarks he asks for?

“I’ve always made the claim that whoever is the GOP nominee is going to need to reach out to Paul and his supporters. Paul’s supporters are not going to hold their noses for the GOP nominee if the establishment and candidates keep trashing Paul.”

I don’t believe in trashing Ron Paul. I do believe in pointing out inaccurate claims made by his supporters.

Libertarians don't win elections either.

Since the vast majority of Americans, including a vast majority of people on this "consertavive" forum actually fear liberty and freedom, what difference does it make anyway?

First, I commend you for your service. Never served in Europe. For some reason I got tagged as perfect material to serve in Korea.

I agree that American forces should be deployed where are interest lie. My issue with the libertarians is that I do not believe that everyone is a libertarian. Libertarianism is a fine philosophy as long as everyone is a libertarian. The idea that if we leave some one alone, they will leave us alone is clearly flawed. There are those who would impose their will regardless of what we do. I prefer to confront them away from our shores rather than within.

As for the ‘jewish lobby’, you know as well as I do that Pat Buchanan for one has made claims that the Jewish lobby results in us taking up policies that are in their interest and not ours.

I’m unfamiliar with the Bergen record but I am familiar with Raimondo’s claims that Jews were ‘celebrating’ the aircraft crashing into the WTC. He made several claims, that the Jews knew in advance and did not warn us in order to increase our involvement in the Middle East. (There’s that ‘jewish lobby’ and ‘our national interest’ thingy again.) It always seemed to me that they would have earned far more influence by telling us about that in advance and preventing it than by allowing it to happen. As I remember, the story was fairly well discredited by those involved. There were not celebrating but were acting in an excited manner which is understandable. Many American’s reacted in an excited manner then too.

Raimondo also claimed that people posing as Jews were trying to infiltrate American military installations shortly after 9-11. Turned out to be kids trying to sell magazines door-to-door. And, as I remember, they weren’t even Jewish but were claiming to be Jews as a part of their sales pitch. That seems reasonable when I consider the claims I’ve heard by kids selling magazines.

And, I agree that not everyone believes the Jews run the world. Some in the libertarian paleo-conservative movement seem to think so and the terms you used are commonly used by those who share that belief.

Let's see here... Your list:

* $544.8 billion (20.90%) - Social Security
* $512.1 billion (18.00%) - Defense
* $359.5 billion (13.79%) - Unemployment and welfare
* $345.7 billion (13.26%) - Medicare
* $268.4 billion (10.30%) - Medicaid and other health related
* $211.1 billion (8.10%) - Interest on debt
* $88.7 billion (3.40%) - Education and training
* $70.7 billion (2.71%) - Transportation
* $68.4 billion (2.62%) - Veterans' benefits
* $43.1 billion (1.65%) - Administration of justice
* $38.4 billion (1.47%) - Foreign affairs
* $31.2 billion (1.20%) - Natural resources and environment
* $26.0 billion (1.00%) - Agriculture
* $24.0 billion (0.92%) - Science and technology
* $19.1 billion (0.73%) - Community and regional development
* $17.8 billion (0.68%) - General government
* $2.1 billion (0.08%) - Energy

My list:

See how easy that was? Nothing left that doesn't fit the Constitution and now we can pare taxes down to nearly zilch. I'm also sure that more could be cut out of administration of justice and general government, as well... with far fewer feeding bureaucraps to starve, we need far less general government anyway...

It's an obvious pattern. Try using a Google search like this on their names "site:wideawakes.net FRscreenname". You'll discover which ones are WAker trolls.

They do manage to drag a few new folks in on various threads or turn an ordinary RP thread into one of their hit pieces. Again, the pattern is quite consistent.

[Karsten, I flagged you here because this is another current thread from today.]

Yes. His apology is right here.
