“Hit the ground running?” Clinton doesn’t even have the guts to face Fox News—what makes her think she can be CIC?
Very good.
Of course it will be Richardson. She doesn’t need Dodd. For anything. Her sandwich days are over.
I sure hope you’re right. I PRAY you’re right!
It will be Richardson.

I have considered that Edwards could have this nomination if he took Hillary on. I know male Dems who wont vote for Hillary but would for Edwards. Those voters will be staying home if Hillary gets the nod.
I wonder if the Republicans are more afraid of Edwards with the way they hammer him and he is in 3rd place. From Rush to Laura to Ann they have been brutal on Edwards while leaving Hillary unscathed. I suppose they are making sure Edwards falls early and keeping their powder dry for Hillary.
Mornin' Joe
Richardson doesn't impress me as being the sharpest knife in the drawer, either. Much like Gore, that might be just what the Clinton machine is looking for in a VEEP.....not real bright and a potential sucker to point blame at when they get caught (again) with their hand in the cookie jar.
Get Richardson and we can send them both packing.
Clinton-Obama is what it’s going to be.
The only other remote possibility from the governors is Easley of NC. Yeah, it’ll be Richardson.
Regardless, Clinton is the only Dim who will result in a pubbie win in 2008 . . . if she gets the nomination. IMO.
I’ve said that for at least a year now. If she’s the nominee, we’ll see new pubbie voters registrations for the record books. Her negative ratings that we’ve recently read about, as far as I know, are with registered voters. With all those newly registered voters, her negatives will be above 50%.
IMO.
“Obama is only 46, so that would make him 55ish for his next shot in a Hillary presidency if he were vp.”
Irrelevant.
Who brings the most to the ticket? Obama doesn’t bring anything. Richardson brings New Mexico and the Hispanic vote. Plus, New Mexico, as well as Iowa switched over to Republican in 2004.
That is a 12 EV swing. However, it is still not enough.
Ohio, Florida and Virginia are the battlegrounds. I believe the RATS were preparing Ohio for 2008. I think they will not get Florida, although with Richardson and the Hispanic vote it might be right.
Where I see Obama helping is if Ohio is going to be the primary target for the RATS. However, I have no idea how they are going to get a 60,000 vote swing without fraud.
“Clinton doesnt even have the guts to face Fox Newswhat makes her think she can be CIC?”
BANG!!!!
Why not Obama?
Dodd, the Northeaster liberal, would off-set any criticism about Fred having a younger wife and two young children; Dodd is in the same boat.
Richardson? Great! And the GOP can run a thousand spot ads of the incident where he told the GLBT Forum that the homosexual lifestyle was a “choice” as he looked like a worm on a hot rock.
That might piss off a large enough percentage of the homo and homo sympathizer vote to help the GOP.
What people have to understand is that this whole early primary season is being done to prepare Hillary financially and politcally for the general.
The MSM and their puppet masters at Moveon.org want as much time as possible to get into the battleground states and start the voter fraud process early.
I have little regard for anything Dick Morris says. He has an abysmal track record when it comes to election predictions.
I can’t believe that FOX News keeps him around as a “Fox News Contributor”. He’s a light-weight IMO.
SBG, Hillary isn't as popular as the MSM makes her out to be. For years, FReepers have said "bring her on".
I agree, the voting lines will be long and NOT in her favor, LOL!

For a number of reasons. He's Black, so therefore, he adds nothing to the ticket (let's face it, you could have two Klansmen on the ticket, and Blacks would still vote for them as long as they were a "D." Sad, but true). He's from Illinois, now, sadly, a rodent Presidential state (so again, adds nothing). He's also "challenged" Hillary, not a good thing to ingratiate himself with her. And lastly, he's not a trusted member of the Clinton inner circle. Richardson, conversely, is most of what Obama is not. He's half-Hispanic (a key demographic), from New Mexico (a battleground state), is a Governor (nevermind he's largely absent from his post -- they'll cite "executive experience"), and he is a 100% Clintonista. He's absolutely a perfect fit for a Hillary-led ticket. If Richardson isn't selected, that will be a complete shock.
As an aside, if Fred is our nominee, he may very well pick a Black man, fmr. OK Congressman J.C. Watts, to put on the ticket (although the downside to that is that being from now-solidly Presidentially GOP OK won't add anything from a geographic perspective).
