So I can break any law that I want, declare my house a church, and avoid any consequences?
Lets not get started on the PTL again. :)
Did you notice that she said that she came to the US from Mexico because she “could not earn a living wage” in Mexico?
I ask, praytell, if she can barely speak English, where did she pick up a codeword like “living wage?”
The left has been feeding this woman full of bull to the point that it’s overflowing from her lips. This whole episode was scripted nonsense.
“Will she become the new Rosa Parks of the Immigration Movement?”
What a joke of a question. While Rosa Parks was indeed an active civil rights activist before her infamous bus ride, I didn’t find it inappropriate at all since it was wrong to designate her to the back of the bus due to her skin color. Rosa Parks was a legal citizen that had a right to equal public services.
Here we have a woman that has broken the law of entry, purposely had a son to allow her to “anchor,” hidden in a place of worship to avoid prosecution of US laws and is then arrested when she attempts to emerge from her “sanctuary” to protest hers, and others, immigration status.
Bye-Bye Elvira.
The Problem is the whole government of Mexico is corrupt!!!!!
See, I would say that the reason we have the problem is the whole government of the U.S. is corrupt!!!!
Our immigration laws and the non-enforcement of them is not Mexico’s business. It is our pandering politicians faults from the local on up.
Wait, hold it, it's not about...?
Never mind...
Perhaps your wish may be in work, at least long enough for the kid to say "¡Hola!" to la abuelita y el abuelito.
'Mi hijo sabía que se iba a quedar con ellos y que iba a quedar en muy buenas manos', dijo Elvira, quien indicó que estaba a la espera de su hijo quien llegará a su lado por vía terrestre desde Los Angeles.
'(Mis padres) Van a conocer a su nieto que nació en Estados Unidos y por él que decidí luchar porque se me permitiera quedarme allá, porque no soy ni criminal ni terrorista, y quiero darle siempre lo mejor a mi hijo', explicó. -- Deportada Arellano viajará a Michoacán tras arribo a México
Accept my translation at your own peril: 'My son knew that he will stay with [Ema Lozana and Walter Coleman] and that he will be in very good hands', Elvira said, who indicated that she was awaiting her son who will arrive to her side by land from Los Angeles.
(My parents) are going to know their grandson who was born in the United States and for who I decided to fight because I was allowed to stay there, because I am neither criminal nor terrorist, and I want to always give the best to my son, she explained.
Great poll ping.
That exactly covers "Mother Sheehan" as well.

...............I think churches should be allowed to retain their sancturary status. Im not even catholic. But I dont care. As long a person is in a church praying and volunteering and doing as the church asks them to do, i think they should be left alone no matter what they did...............
OK, So in another country, Osama or whoever should be able to enter a mosque, and expect sanctuary?? For the rest of his life?? Rerardless of what crimes the person committed?
To me, it makes absolutely no sense!
Voted.
Bump.
Did it. It’s overwhelming for our side; i.e. people who feel as we do about the illegal immigrant problem.
As part of getting illegal immigration under control, we should have some laws which criminalize the act of giving sanctuary to them. If a church does so, the people who set policy for the church should be prosecuted.
Yep, I like the black guy who wrote about Rosa Parks. She was a citizen of the US, who stood up for her rights as a citizen. Not some freeloader identity thief illegal alien who hid in a church. BTW, with regards to churches beinbg sanctuaries, why didn’t the Catholic priest molesters just hang out in the church forever and remain exempt from prosecution?
>But law enforcement should need permission to enter and apprehend.<
I will agree except for crimes involving violence.
The IRS has the right to have a show cause hearing and remove their tax exemption.
