In three years, all smoking in cars with minors will be banned by both political parties with broad support.
You seem to have a lot of pent up anger at your father for smoking in the house and the car around you. That must be very tough on you.
I don't normally share a personal story with my patients, but I'll tell you that when I was a kid, I used to go over to my Uncle's house for family gatherings and they would all just sit right there at the dining room table smoking Kents and Benson and Hedges, drinking scotch, beer and playing cards.
I couldn't stand it. I couldn't breathe, my eyes would water. When I went up to them once when I was about 11 and told them to stop it, they told me to shut up and go to my mother.
It seems that the difference between me and you is that I've gotten over it decades later. In a matter of fact, when I get together with my uncles over a cold beer and a smoke now, we look back on it and laugh.
It's obvious that your desire to involve Gov't as a tool in your revenge on parental smoking stems from your childhood trauma. You are only going to get yourself in trouble with this anger...
If lung cancer hasn't killed you by then, will this still be your standard for public discourse
Be careful what you wish on others in anger, after all, with all that Second Hand Smoke you've inhaled throughout your life (and we know that just a small amount of exposure starts the cancer process in motion according to Carmona) you might already be dead and have just forgotten to fall down. It's a killer. By your own admissions, you are as at much of a health risk as anyone.
Do angry statements like those you made make you feel better? If so, please let me have it. I'll consider it a public service for humanity to help you get it all off your chest.
