Hows about the evolutionists who are as adamant about evolution as a fundamentalist standing out in the street corner yelling? Any scorn reserved for them? Any snippy remark for them? Hmmmm....

You see I have been called many things by many here in these types of threads by evolutionists...and mind you....no evidence for them to base one fact on. Truth be told I do not have a lot of answers about our origin...just ideas and theories... I do love science...science that is honest and open to evidence.

If I had to pick those who are more intelligent and honest by judging from these threads the so called “flat earthers” earn my hearty vote. I just do not see a lot of intelligence from those who espouse evolution...only of flames and fire directed at those with whom they disagree...

Do you believe in Galaxies?

If so, why?

“Their denial of the scientific method is certainly at odds with the technology they use to broadcast their denial”

This is false in its entirety.

“It’s strange how effective the SM is until it brushes up against some household deity’s dogma. Then it becomes the works of the household Satan.”

I guess its time for us monkeys to start throwing poop at each other?

I hope you get a chance to actually open your mind to what others of opposing viewpoints believe in... it may just change your perceptions, my friend.

Answer my this question first “Dr.” Lew.

Do you find it necessary to wear that moniker on your lapel whenever you go out?

I believe that most Creationists are not of the “Young Earth” variety.

If electronics impacted the notion of the Virgin Birth ...

Cf. GALILEO, HERETIC by Pietro Redondi. The author contends that Galileo became a target of a faction in the Vatican that perceived Galileo's ideas, including atomism in particular, as a threat to the doctrine of transubstantiation.

"I just do not see a lot of intelligence from those who espouse evolution...only of flames and fire directed at those with whom they disagree..."

That's the norm on these threads. Same old same old. This tread began with a dig at those who attend church. I never dawns on these people that church gatherings are also community gatherings, a place where a person can go not just to hear how God created the universe, but to lift their spirits, learn that there is hope for mankind and that there is a moral consciousness in our society that offers a ray of hope against the barrage of evil we endure or read about all week long.

I often wonder what some of the evolutionist posters do on Sundays, besides sit on their PC in their parents basements and mocking people for going to church and being active in the community.

“I know Coyoteman hasn’t read it. It’s “satanic” to him. He’s afraid he might become possessed if he read it.”

ROFLMAO!!!

No doubt...

Truly, many are here to just cast derision rather than “educate” or gain answers. Coyoteman seems to be a true believer in evolution... which is fine, however, he is not being intellectually honest or open with much of his discussion which typifies the vast majority of those who espouse this Darwinian religion.

Absolutely, I have read all of this thread and that was the intent...

Sad, but true...

I am always curious as to what makes these individuals go crazy for this religion of theirs.

Care to go beyond blanket denial and refute the notion that the scientific method generates modern civilization yet is found unfit when it contravenes religion?

Rather than read an authors reinterpretation of events, why not read the church record instead? There are plenty of myths being propagated against the church which simply aren’t true.

The church was never and isn’t against science at all, in fact the church fathers embraced science and felt that the discovery of truth will aways lead to the Lord, because God IS truth.

” refute the notion that the scientific method generates modern civilization yet is found unfit when it contravenes religion?”

Sure, but which religion? Scientology, sure...Islam, uh-huh... are you talking post modern Christendom? or Medieval?

When I started work in 1979 after obtaining my Ph.D., my coworkers routinely notified me of their skepticism of the worth and meaning of the degree, and regaled me with stories illustrating the eccentricities, deficiencies, and general worthlessness of its recipients. One guy took to calling me “Doctor Lew”, not in any mean spirited way, but he definitely meant to needle me a little bit. I kind of liked it.

The point is that this astronomy and physics teacher is teaching lessons in OTHER scientific areas (geology, biology, etc) for the purpose of asking the students if his evolutionary theory “bothered them.” Then he apparently uses their answers to judge them as scholars, not on their grasp of astronomy and physics.
Then he used his prejudice against these students to write a “scholarly” paper.
I’m glad that I have no kids in that college.

“Cf. GALILEO, HERETIC by Pietro Redondi. The author contends that Galileo became a target of a faction in the Vatican that perceived Galileo’s ideas, including atomism in particular, as a threat to the doctrine of transubstantiation.’

I’ve seen a graph of the growth of technological innovation from before the Middle Ages until now. The Middle Ages arc is flat to descending. Looking at the overall curve, it’s evident we’d be many decades more advanced today had it not been for religion’s choke hold on inquiry during the appropriately named Dark Ages.

Well, since we’re talking modern science, it would be pointless to discuss its effect on medieval relgion, wouldn’t it? And since Christianity is the subject of....

Oh, forget it. If it’s this pedantic already, there’s little chance for getting better. I’m out of here. Have a nice day.

Only if you show where real truthful science contravenes religion. It doesn't. All you have is very shakey evolutioary theory, which requires even more of a leap of faith than religion does with a lot of unanswered questions and unexplained contradictions- which is then claimed to contravene religion.

Nothing exploded, and created all the elements which evolved into everything over billions of years. Yea right.

"By the word of God the heavens were made, their whole array by the breath of his mouth...He spoke and it was created. He commanded and there it stood." (Ps.33:6-9).

Here we can see that at least it was created from something, God's breath- substance. That is much more believable.

The complexity and design evident in our own DNA excludes random accidental development. Once? impossible, millions of times over? beyond calculation of impossible.

Coyoteman seems to be a true believer in evolution...

I studied it for six years in grad school. I am not a "believer" as that term is more suited to religion. Rather, I am convinced by the evidence.

...which is fine, however, he is not being intellectually honest or open with much of his discussion which typifies the vast majority of those who espouse this Darwinian religion.

Translation: I do not buy your unsupported religious claims?
