Congratulations to Barry Bonds. An amazing accomplishment by the greatest player of his era, performance enhancing drugs or no.
Funny how I had the same results from the weight training I've done since my 30th birthday without using any performance enhancing drugs of any kind. Both my shoe size and hat size increased, along with my shirt size. So, what other evidence do you have for proof?
I guess De-nial isnt just a river in Egypt.
Yea, a guy who hit 37 hrs at 33 and 34 hrs at 34 yrs old all of a sudden hits 73 at age 36 and then over 45 the next 3 seasons. Real natural like. .. You can also track his steroid use by his drop in stolen bases, at around 34. People who steal bases and use steroids end up pulling hamstrings and tearing tendons.
By the way, word is the Feds have him locked solid on perjury charges, and we may be hearing more about that in the coming days. Theres more than circumstantial evidence that has him nailed; theres at least two very convincing books on the subject out there.
You dont have to acknowledge any of this, soldier boy, but spouting off about his innocence makes you seem like a moron.
>>>Ah...the just in case statement, for when it is finally proven for a certainty that he did indeed use steroids. Yeah, that will make A-okay.<<<
Nope. He still cheated, and steroids were banned by MLB. I’m no Bonds fan, really. I find him obnoxious. But he did accomplish something pretty extraordinary.
I just find the fake (or unprincipled) outrage to be annoying. Why rail against Barry Bonds when it has been going on for ages? It’s rampant in the NFL and college football. I saw the usage as a college athlete. Wouldn’t have helped me as a swimmer, but quite a few of the baseball players and huge percentages of the football team were using them. No one says a word about what happens in the NFL. Though it’s blantantly obvious.
As someone who has a possible interest in endocrinology one day, I find the over-hyping and misinformation about anabolic steroids to be a bit ridiculous, as well. Their usage has side-effects, but when properly dosed, they’re not the killers a lot of people make them out to be.
Consider it a general irritation about a constant flow of misinformation. I’m sure economists or engineers (or whoever) feel the say way, the latter especially over this bridge hubub.
I hate no man. I just hate that this man is making records based on his drug-enhanced abilities with the bat. If you are trying to get me to admit that I hate him, forget it, hate aint there, just my need for natural statistics.
No. Not a coincidence. Just the way you people work. you make claims of steroid use without any evidence whatsoever. You make up your evidence as you go along. It’s whatever you say it is without providing a shred of evidence to support or substantiate.
LOL...how convenient for your argument SoldierDad. I call BS.
“Thanks. I stand corrected.
I know that there is a lot of animosity on the team towards him.”
It was interesting that the only teammate who has openly expressed that animosity is Omar Vizquel, the shortstop and he was the first person to hug Bonds.
Of course it was a worldwide media moment with nearly 44,000 cheering fans watching in the stands.
the Yankees suck.
Anyone else see how baggy Bonds’ uniform is now? A couple years ago he filled that out.
The key words here are “hit the ball”. That has to be done first and how many other do you see hitting the ball like Barry even if theirs don’t go over the fence. Give the man some credit for crying out loud. You go out and see how many big league pitchers you can even hit once. Believe me there are a whole bunch of pros out there that can’t do it well either. (but Barry can)
meh.
Give the post number where I stated Bonds is innocent!! I’ve only stated that noone has provided any substantiated proof. Not quite the same thing. Oh, where in any of my post did I cast any aspersions towards your screen name. Name calling is beneath some people, but apparently not others. I also stated that I’m waiting for the evidence. Until then I withhold judgement (unlike many others are willing to do).
Ah yes, as soon as the Yanks get into playoff contention the idiotic chants start. The Red Sox will be in 2nd place by the end of this month, don't you worry. 14 games back to 5 games back in the blink of an eye....how's that taste?
First of all, nice completely ignoring the fact that his weight trainer chose to go to the slam rather than testify before a federal grand jury. If the guy had nothing to hide then why did he go to jail rather than testify?
Secondly, I already told you the evidence against his is circumstantial, not proof. That said, it's overwhelming.
I'm not saying that Bonds doesn't have some incredible natural ability. That makes his need to juice it up for the sake of his ego even more pathetic. As much as I dislike A-Rod, I can't wait for him to knock Bonds off his ill-gotten mantle.
You may call what you wish. Until you can demonstrate otherwise what you call is meaningless. My shoe size now is between one to one and a half sizes bigger now as compared to before I started working out regularly. My hat size is also a full size bigger. BS is in your typing, not mine.
This pic is after the ball is finished bouncing off the fans and has settled somewhere near the middle of the pic.
The guy in the center with the orange jersey was seated a good 10 rows back from where the ball eventually landed.
He just surfed the crowd.
