I figured that was his angle, like everyone I guess, I read the Profit, lol, a long time ago, kind of like Rod McCune poetry an adolescent daliance.
This school has been designed from the ground up with two ideas in mind.
1. Fooling the public about what they are up to, using a Christian mystic as a poster child just for starters.
2. Putting into place a mechanism whereby kids from an area in Brooklyn that has produced numerous terrorists, will be brought into contact with the radical social activists like CAIR, so they can be indoctrinated.
LOL! I read it at the same time I read Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Whuzzattellya?
Ping.
Scan page 8 again...see what religion IS mentioned.

Gibran wasn’t a mystic. He as a poet/artist, a Christian, born in Lebanon, but emigrated and grew up in America.
But yes, they’re just using the name...
............why quibble......cant think of an artist who isnt also a mystic.......u say gibran i say tomato.......
As you know, I am a Roman Catholic.
For some reason, during the 80s and 90s every hippy-dippy 60s burnout priest or nun or "involved" layman I ever had to deal with in a formal extraliturgical setting invariably read aloud from The Prophet.
Prep class for the sacrament of confirmation? Sr. So-and-So begins class with a reading from The Prophet.
Fund raising drive for the foreign missions? Fr. So-and-So feels that a reading from The Prophet is appropriate to the occasion.
Mandatory pre-Cana marriage retreat? Why not have a series of readings from The Prophet?
Parish Youth Day? You guessed it.
Your description of the book is dead-on accurate. I've never actually bothered to read the book, but I am pretty sure at least a third of it has been read aloud to me without my permission, so I know it well.
