In the latter years of the 19th century, a university student found himself seated in
a train by the side of a person who seemed to be well-to do peasant.
He was praying the rosary and moving the beads in his fingers.
“Sir, do you still believe in such outdated things?” asked the student
of the old man.”
“Yes, I do. Do you not?” asked the man.
The student burst out into a laughter and said, “I do not believe in
such silly things. Take my advice. Throw the rosary out through this
window, and learn what science has to say about it”.
“Science? I do not understand this science? Perhaps you can explain it
to me.”, the man said humbly with some tears in his eyes.
The student saw that the man was deeply saddened. So to avoid further
hurting the feelings of the man, he said:
“Please give me your address and I will send you some literature to
help you on the matter.”
The man fumbled in the inside pocket of his coat and gave the boy his
visiting card. On glancing at the card, the student, lowered his head
in shame and became silent. On the card he read:
“Louis Pasteur, Director of the Institute of Scientific Research,
Paris.”
Pasteur lived and died a devout Catholic. And as a Catholic, I agree. He should be canonized!
Then don't get too far into yoga (or hinduism)
Really? Have you done any research for comparison?
Mother’s milk is optimal for every species. Cow’s milk has the best balance of nutrients for growing healthy hooves and horns. Human mama-milk has the best balance of nutrients for growing brains.
Really. It’s the long-chain polyunsaturated acid known as DHA that is found in human milk but not in infant formula or cow’s milk.
Now you’ve done it!
You’ve stirred-up all the kook socialist control freaks that want us to believe that eating doctor prescribed poison isn’t the reason for the epidemic levels of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
So instead, I should believe some pseudonymous dude on the internet?
Whatever ...
If you wanna drink pee and turn your face blue with silver, knock yourself out. It’s still a more or less free country. Just don’t be shocked when sane folk think you’re a bit wierd.
I’ve never used any silver, but know many people that do. None of them have had any undesirable effects from it, and two of them managed to save legs that the quacks wanted to amputate. Of course they’ve missed out on the fun of walking on plastic feet.
Drinking urine is a hindu trick, and I can’t recall anyone advocating it here. Go to enough yoga classes and you’ll have to try it or leave.
As regards the silver, I note that you have changed the subject. Or tried to.
What was a human’s life expectency over a 100 years ago? 200? 300? When you say they were doing “just fine” compared to humans today that’s true, right up until they died in their 40’s.
Try to convince yourself that I have in some unstated way changed the subject. That will give you plausible deniability in case you should suffer harm from not using effective methods of protecting your health. Some people really amaze me.
Millions of children are exposed to it annually! Some kids have even been observed during the summer months completely submerged in the stuff, unaware of the potential dangers!
I remember one time getting some home killed beef where the cow had eaten onions right before slaughter. Excellent.
I love goat milk better than cow.
My brother in law owns a dairy and I love the milk right from the vat. I was raised on whole milk.
Reading for comprehension is a Good Thing.
1) I suggested that excessive silver consumption can caus argyria.
2) You denied same.
3) I responded with actual medical research supporting my contention.
4) You responded with argumentum ad hominem.
5) I rejected your illogic.
6) You changed the subject from argyria to two alleged examples of colloidal silver curing some unspecified conditions.
7) I noted your change of subject.
8) You denied, in the face of written evidence to the contrary, changing the subject.
9) I now rub your nose in said evidence.
From what I've read, you've got a point. Pasteur was an extremely devout, unselfish, and holy man. He understood his work to be serving Christ by serving his fellow man. I wouldn't be surprised if we do see him canonized.
My understanding is that raw milk contains enzymes and nutrients that make it more digestible and useful to the body. My own experience with it tends to support that idea. Milk is great anyway, of course, raw or not.
I also notice that my kids digest organic, pasteurized milk much better than non-organic, pasteurized milk. Don't know why that is.
Life expectancy is an average. Most of my ancestors lived to the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s and beyond. My gg-grandparents lived to their 80’s, my ggg-grandfather lived to be 80, his grandfather to 90, and his grandfather born in 1668 in Ireland lived to be 70.
They were pulled down due to childhood diseases. If you could make it past them you usually lived a normal lifespan.
Your right!!!!!!!! Nobody lived over 40 up to a hundred years ago.
