It took you a HELL of a lot longer than two hours whether or not you recognize the fact.Really? That's news to me.
Did you keep any records to substantiate any claims you may have made on that return? How long does it take you to "keep" a record? And the records I keep are records I'm keeping anyway, e.g., canceled checks.
Do you keep those records for up to seven years?I guess keeping a record for seven years takes you more time?
Are there any costs associated with that?Envelopes are cheap.
You didn’t answer the questions: How long did it take you to do your taxes? What did it “cost” you? How did that “cost” end up in the price of any product?
Because we are seeking to replace a tax commonly expressed in tax inclusive terms and wish to compare apples to apples rather than oranges.
No! Something seen every single day tends to be more on most folks minds than something they only deal with infrequently.
It cost me FAR more than it should have in countless ways.
No but I, as an individual, am at the end of the line with no one to pass MY taxes on to. Any business that I may or may not be associated with would be a very different story.
THAT is, in fact, the point I have been trying to make from the beginning!
All taxes on business are simply a fiction to hide the total tax burden from the consumer.
You don’t know how long your taxes took and cost or are you just not saying?
I know you will argue the point but it is true never-the-less. That is part of the problem with the income tax. The entirety of it's effects are unquantifiable.
Out of deference to someone who happens to read this, and genuinely wants to know the truth, I will make a few suggestions for their research.Sorry to burst your bubble but. Just because someone wrote it down somewhere and you happen to believe it, or want to believe it, doesn't make it true.
Yes we have seen it before. Every tax payer could be making $25.00 an hour dinking around in the garage but instead of watching TV or dinking in the garage for a couple of hours they filled out a couple of simple forms for their income tax and it becomes this major burden on society...Which happens to fit your agenda.
And really, you are the only one I know of with an agenda.
So are payroll taxes.
If the effects of the income tax are unknown, even though we've been dealing with it for the past hundred years, how can you be so sure of the effects of a 30% NRST when it only exists on paper?
All the FairTaxers have is a bunch of assumptions. Now we find that even the much touted negative effects of the income tax are assumptions too.
