Ron Paul is just another nut case.

Youre no conservative, and neither is your leader L.Ron.You seem addled and confused. My leader is not the diabolical father of Scientology. My leader is Jesus Christ the Son of God.
I'm as conservative as they come, Petronski, a real conservative who believes in the Constitution, limited government and more freedom.

What is so hard to believe?
That 19 Muslim fanatics with boxcutters led by a man in a cave were able to outsmart the CIA, FBI, DIA and other agencies and then take hold of four passenger jets and that they were never intercepted by our own Air Force...... That is one conspiracy theory on its own that is simply unbelievable.
O my sweet Lord! We got a live one. LOL

Freepers had problems with Jamie Gorelick and others covering up the impacts of dems and Clinton in particular in weakening our country so 9/11 was even easier to pull off. That is correct. However that is a completely separate matter from what is being discussed by this caller and Ron Paul. Paul is responding to a caller who doesn't even believe 9/11 was a terrorist attack and yet Paul didn't distance himself from that bizarre perspective. Paul said in response "we see the investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and
no real explanation of what went on." No real explanation?
In the context of the caller's question it appears Ron Paul is not satisfied on whether 9/11 was a terrorist attack or not. That, in itself, puts Ron Paul in the lunatic fringe category. Even the dem Presidential candidates are not debating that we experienced a terrorist attack.

No kidding! So tell us Maeve, are you a MIHOP or LIHOP truther?
To: Petronski
Yes, I am the real big scary nightmare that FreeRepublic doesn’t seem to want around. I believe in the Constitution, limited government, and more freedom. And I don’t accept the official story on 9/11 as a complete answer to what happened on that most tragic day in the history of this nation.

And if you think 9/11 is the most tragic day in American history, you’ve doubtless never studied American history.

Ok Maeve, let’s walk through this as reasonable people shall we?
The closest USAF jets to the towers were in Otis in MA. That is a reserve base that did not sit alert prior to 9/11.
NORAD’s radars are fixed outward to aircraft coming into North America, not aircraft moving within the United States, especially commercial aircraft. They were also conducting an exercise that morning of a simulated hijacked plane. Calls from air towers that planes are off course, while NORAD is in the middle of an exercise coupled with radar monitoring of activity outside of our borders would certainly cause the delay in responding.
Any other explanation is beyond ludicrous. The idea that this is somehow some conspiracy defies logic on every single level. The sheer number of parties who would have had to have been involved in this conspiracy (to include the Canadian military and government) is astronomical. Yeah, it is absolutely likely they all kept their silence on this though. [/sarcasm]
Thanks goodness the Democrats are in charge over oversight now then.

What is the Truther, according to Ron Paul, about the death of Paul McCartney?

That is one conspiracy theory on its own that is simply unbelievable. Nonsense. The plan was nearly foolproof because it was simple and unexpected.
The hijackers did not have to outsmart the CIA, FBI, DIA, et al., because those agencies were apparently not looking for them.
Even if they had been looking, outsmarting them would not have been a great trick. Our intelligence agencies have become much like the rest of the federal bureaucracy: bloated, ponderous, and ineffectual. The performance of the CIA in particular since 11 September 2001 has been disgraceful. The agency appears more interested in defending its own bureaucratic turf than fighting our enemies.
