It was well-intended, I assure you.
Oh maybe I should say, “what does that tell you”?
These third worlders are also using chemicals banned in the US many years ago. Don’t here anyone screaming about this! At that time we were worried that Americans were poisoning Americans, now outsiders are poisoning Americans and we sit idly by and say and do nothing!
Ya’ll others just pardon me...I’m getting some PPP graphic teaching from...yes I admit...from ToddsterPatriot :))
Just bare with me...maybe post around us (lol)
Interrupted...be back in about 10 min
No problem, thanks. Go back to that graph you posted. What is that telling you/me?
What are the variables for the graph?
I’m not trying to stop anything, just saying that private markets are better determiners of where and when to irrigate, or do whatever, than governments.
And I appreciate your points.
It seems though, that, that California farmers pay a much lower price for water, due to subsidies, than a free market would dictate. Thus they create occasional shortages of water in other parts of the State, because they use way more water than they would if they paid fair market value. So they grow some crops that would be better off grown in other areas that have more rainfall.
And believe me when I say, I am no farmer..The last time I grew anything successfully—many years ago—I was arrested. But I certainly appreciate how hard it is.
Again, my comments were directed at the value of a truly free market, not at the pros and cons of eating.
I.E. the Northern Pacific which owns every other section along their route a township wide, the Central Pacific and the Southern Pacific.
I’ll check that out...thanks. :-)
Hmmmmmmmm...I’ve skimmed through it. Seemed like some theorizing going on along with the statistics and methodology. Interesting use of the word Freedom in there a few times as well. I’ll jot down a few notes and holler back some time. Appreciate the info.
a photobucket chart of world bank data? There’s a quality post for you! Did you draw it yourself?
Now you’re shilling for the corrupt and socialist world bank.
lol :) I just asked some basic question about the chart, but the answers never came. I was making an honest attempt to try and understand what drives his thinking. I completely understand now. At least he sent me a link :)) Granted it was to theories I don’t subcribe to, but hey... I really do want to understand the limits of globalist thinkers. I won’t clearly identify the limits I’m referring to, but they’ll become more evident as I ask more questions :)
“a photobucket chart of world bank data?”
I have to guess that’s why it was hard to explain.
That’s why small talk is weather-based.
I have to laugh at the limosine liberals talking about global warming when they probably haven’t picked a weed out of their garden in years. Phony environmentalists.
Ricardo’s theory of comparative advantage?
Politicians today, of course, don’t want you to know about the cost of regulation, red tape, and a bloated unelected bureaucracy driving up production costs here in the US.
Just try looking for a middle class in most of these “open” countries.

I posted that thread yesterday because of the implication I could clearly see from the article. I highly recommend reading all the posts as some good analysis was done. Tell me if you draw the same conclusion I did please. Even those understanding trade did not counter the conclusion.
You might find that thread related. Ignore the Bush angle, it’s the China conclusion that’s most depressing.
