Sorry, the report was called the Index of Economic Freedom. Trade is one of the variables they measure. If you need more info, use the link I provided.

Did you ever figure out which globalist thinkers you are talking about?

I just can’t debate anyone when the core definitions are twisted to suit an agenda that I will never ever support.

What agenda? Fewer restrictions on trade? Lower tariffs? More choice? More trade?

“Did you ever figure out which globalist thinkers you are talking about?”

Take your pick, there’s plenty around. I’m not putting you in that category, simply because I think you are possibly confused or mis-guided. Oh, and I like, not liking you :) (lol) We get along better that way...

You'd know all about being confused.

Oh, and I like, not liking you :)

Is it because I keep pointing out your silliness and confusion? :^)

Fewer restrictions on trade?

Trade freedom includes human trafficking and slave labor. After all, if you're free, you're free to trade anything and anyone you want./sarc

The index of economic freedom measure economic freedom for transnational corporations. It is this ommission from the heritage document that causes confusion.

There is no economic freedom for citizens, in their view. Citizens are a barrier to 'trade freedom'.

Yep, you’re right. And your first sentence is why it’s impossible to rationally discuss trade when you use the term “freedom” in your comment, but others think of that as “trade openness”. It just isn’t possible. Like a cat chasing it’s tail (lol)

The writer hijacked my attention altogether and asparagus went out the window as I went searching for Wendell Berry, his apparent muse that sent him on his international search for the happy peasant.

Here is an absolute must-read for anyone still unconvinced that our colleges are nothing more than breezeways to the wind-swept dunes of landfills the world over:

http://w3.uwyo.edu/~kipero7/wendell.html

Notice that this is co-authored by three college students and obviously worthy of its own website.

Berry was actually born on August 5th, 1934 which removes much of the confusion in the above link.

This link, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wendell_Berry, has a less of a breathless tone to it.

Trade freedom includes human trafficking and slave labor.

I'm against both of those. Maybe you have a list of the free traders who support them?

That's funny because the higher the economic freedom the higher the incomes for citizens.

Citizens are a barrier to 'trade freedom'.

You're the one who wants to restrict the freedom of citizens, Hillary.

More government, to preserve freedom! Did you read 1984 in high school? Maybe next semester?

Yeah, that’s proof that freer trade doesn’t help the economy. LOL!

Clearly you do not oppose slave labor and human trafficking. “free trade” does not prohibit either.

LOLOL!

Technical regulations and product standards may vary from country to country. Having many different regulations and standards makes life difficult for producers and exporter

AW poor transnational corporations....

If regulations are set arbitrarily, they could be used as an excuse for protectionism.

Those capricious citizens! They make trade hard!

Be careful hedgetrimmer, or he’ll quote you by only using half of your sentence. That’s getting close to the troll category of tactics. I’d rather be a noob than a troll anyday (lol) :))
