Cross-dressing, pill-popping, booze-guzzling Baptist party MACHINE!
There's an old joke about the difference between Baptists and Methodists, is that Methodists will say 'hi' to each other in the liquor store.
To: blue-duncan
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth..." I don't consider Rev. Tester to be my enemy. "Fellow sinner" is more accurate although I'd never consider wearing a skirt with these legs.

The devil strides into church every time the doors open for service. Sickness of the soul is not as rare as people want to believe, even right here in East Tennessee, buckle of the Bible Belt. The family name is besmirched horribly ... I grew up with Testers and they were not sickos like this one turned out to be.

All kidding aside, it’s obvious that this poor guy needs some help. I hope he gets it.

This has much deeper implications than just mister Tester. That he held such positions should alert folks that spiritual discernment is lacking in a lot more people than just this sick twerp. People like Tester don't rise to their positions among the body of believers without being confronted along the way by those who are supposed to have spiritual discernment which would prevent such high profile shame. Swaggert's demise, Baker's demise, Catholic Priests' demise, these things should sound alarms along the entire chain of authority not just at the perps position.

“I don’t consider Rev. Tester to be my enemy.”
Of course you do, look what you have done to him in front of all the lurkers on this thread. Just a question though, after all the fun you have publicly had at his expense because of his sin how do you propose to pray for him, his family and his church?

I haven’t done jack to him. Nothing I have done or said is going to make his situation any worse than it is. In fact, I wish him well. If you’ll review my posts, you’ll see that.
Life is too short to take everything seriously. If you can’t laugh at something that’s ridiculous as the man’s situation surely is then I pity you.
My advice: have a drink, pop a pill, slip into something sexy, and relax.

I realize that ministers and priests are merely mortal men, and they are subject to the same desires and temptations as the rest of us.
If I were a minister or a priest, and I had desires for homosexuality, cross dressing or perversion, I would have to pray long and hard about my choices.
And if God won out, I'd have to repress my perversions and go on with my ministry with help from my friends. If my perversion won out, I'd have to end my ministry.
To try and satisfy both, being a leader and a shepherd and indulging in secret perversions, benefits no one and harms many.

Interesting that you think this man’s sinful condition should be not only a source for your amusement but publishing it for other’s amusement. Thank you but I don’t think I’ll be taking your advice. Sin and its effects, no matter how ridiculous a form it comes in, is not light amusement.
To: blue-duncan
all the fun you have publicly had at his expense because of his sin how do you propose to pray for him, his family and his church? You do, of course, realize it is our previous experience of precisely this sort of sanctimonious nagging that makes this situation so entertaining.
